no buddy he ran and kept it safe for a lot of the fight simply because donair connected early and he realised he cant do anything but pot shot. hes been more aggresive in other fights.someone with his skills shouldnt have to fight like that
Running is what Mosley did against Pacquiao....
See alot of these boxing fans came up watching Rocky, and Rocky is what??? 2 Flat footed fighters slugging it out, thats why boxing could seem boring to some, they have watched too many movies.
He definitely didn't run. Moved a lot, but it was purposeful movement, designed to control the pace and fight his fight.
Running is moving backwards for no reason other than not wanting your opponent anywhere near you. Huge difference.
"Running" is part of the game. Some people are blessed with power, some with foot speed, some with defense, some with boxing technique. Different styles is what makes the game exciting. Maybe some of you don't like anything but flat footed phone booth brawler types, and that is okay. Some of us appreciate the boxing skill that was displayed (I lost $100 on Donaire :( ). Despite my guy losing (Donaire) I still appreciate that high level boxing.
How many threads do we need on the same subject? Couldnt you have posted in one of the 500 other threads on roughly the same subject? No, you couldnt because you are trying to give yourself a platform to say - "Look everyone! I am a boxing hipster...a 'real' boxing fan...I'm not getting enough attention in the other threads so I thought I would create my own outlet for my trainspottery nature as its the best way I can hide my complete lack of insight whilst simultaneously showing off what a bumsniff I am!".
:nonono:
Im a fan of both of them but Rigondeaux did a little more than box and counter punch, there were times he did actually run, he had his back turned, that's running. He did what he had to do to win, I just wish he didn't get so far out of range when Donaire would attack. I like watching a boxer as much as the next guy but Rigondeaux used his legs a little too much for me, safety first I guess.
I believe real fighters/boxers fight to finish fights not to outscore guys on the cards:boxing:That being said Rigondeaux really hurt Nonito in that last round so I think it was a good win
To be honest Rigo ran when got hurt in one of round late into the fight.
Post the fight and show us the round please.
Not once did I see Rigo hurt or pushed back by the bigger guy. Can't say the same thing about Donaire tho.
