Marquez is demanding at least 50% of the purse to rematch Pacquiao. Is this the fair amount, is it too much to ask or should Marquez actually get the lion's share (more than 50%)?
Pacquiao needs it more than Marquez this time so it is obviously more than fair .
Pacquiao is need of redemption as he did get KO'd so I can appreciate the 50-50 perspective.
He most definitely does deserve 50% of the money. Manny needs him to avenge his loss and this fight is bigger than ever thanks to JMM for knocking out Manny.
Great point redfoxx on relating this to hollywood. Say Brad Pitt stars in the move inglrious bastards, but Christoph Waltz is the better actor in the movie and steals the show. Brad Pitt is the household name and brings attention and legitimacy to the film so he has the higher paid actor between the two.
Same situation with Pac and Marquez, pac will always be the bigger star. The only two world wide stars of boxing are Mayweather Pacquiao. The others are just well known to die hard boxing fans and ot to the mainstraim / business side. Boxing is a business sadly too many people involved
Whatever other fight Marquez does outside a Floyd fight he won't make as much as another fight against Pac.
But still Marquez should get at minimum 50%, he argubly won the third fight and KOed Pac cold in a great fight. Pac needs this fight more than Marquez does.
you could say the same thing about pac even at 50 50 tho
Exactly this.
Pacquaio is much bigger than Marquez in boxing.
I'd love to see this backfire on him and he ends up fighting a different fighter for a small purse then losing. Marquez isn't a big seller by himself, where as Floyd and Manny are. That's the difference.
couldn you say that it would also back fire on pac for not taking it at 50 50?
If you're gonna paraphrase me, at least read the ****ing post properly and get it right.
Unlike you though, bringing the cunt up out of the blue for no reason, there was actually a related point to it, just like I also used Duran and Leonard, or did you miss that too?
Bored now. **** off.
kind of like your reply about me being a pac fan(who you guess im not, but also guess i am?) with no relevency to the actual post but i guess u got butthurt
but no, you **** off
Wrong again. Instead of a loaded comparison with a no-name like Bradley (which still did huge numbers) compare to Margarito which is estimated to have done better. Take the moral ground because the truth isn't in your side here.
there i no doubt jmm pac 5 will dwarf the other 4
You made a point of using an analogy of saying JMM brings no money to the fight. Thats untrue. Check the PPV numbers that Arum released of JMM III then Bradley, & then JMM IV. JMM clearly brings money to the table in the US, and a lot more from Mexico. Also factor in that JMM star is rising the past few years, and you have to figure that its even higher now that he knocked Pacquiao out.
Regardless of that my main theme in all these JMM vs Pacquiao money share threads has been: JMM has stated that he isn't interested in the Pacquiao V match and hints that it will take 50% for him to look at it. The onus is not on JMM to make this fight, its on the Pacquiao side.

already forget who hopped into the thread "ummm you guys were crying about pacquiao deserving 50-50 with floyd, what if floyd ko pacquiao derp derp" etc

Says the guy bringing Floyd into an argument for no reason.
Farkin hell. :dunce:
ur retarded floydboy ass already forget who hopped into the thread "ummm you guys were crying about pacquiao deserving 50-50 with floyd, what if floyd ko pacquiao derp derp" etc
that's a good safeguard on your posts so someone wont call you on your stupidity and fake claims
but i suppose you're also retard floyd fan, who can't help but involve floyd in anything regarding pacquiao

You're a Pac fan....who isn't though i guess....What separates us is that you're also a retard, hence the reason you replied to a post that specifically questioned retarded Pac fans.
That's cool though. Some people are retards, and some people are Pac fans, you just happen to be both.

aww u retard floyd fans
Really? Tell me about Pac's PPV numbers in his fight before Marquez 4. Now, tell me what Marquez was doing around that same time..... Cable TV, no name opponent.

I wasn't even argueing with you about what marquez deserves, just thought your mayweather comparison was way off base, they were pretty even until pacquiao fought mosley and bradley, when most of that argueing was going on about how it should be 50-50 between the two it was right on the money until later on floyd started pulling away, which i think most then started agreeing that floyd deserved a bigger portion, although not to the degree he wanted it(can;'t even remember what it was, 0%?)
and the aggressive tones in your posts kind of makes me want to cuss you out and call you messed up sht like kiddy fiddler or somethin, cunt
:lol1:

Completely untrue. JMM is a very big draw 1st of all. 2nd of all, his last two fights with JMM have sold much more PPV's than Pacquiaos fights with other fighters.

The dishwasher has the worst job at a restaurant, yet he gets paid the least. That's because he's replaceable and the establishment will still generate the same type of revenue regardless of who is working that position. Marquez may be equally good, but his name brings little money. If Brad Pitt and Aziz Ansari both star in a film, does Aziz expect to get the same pay as Pitt?
