Not technically the KO punch but definitely the punch that effectively ended the fight

That is craft, technique and an aesthetically pleasing measured shot.
Foster was brutal at 175. Im kind of partial to his ko of Mike Quarry.
Indeed Foster at 175 is the definition of a killer in boxing, there is a reason a guy like Tiger who was a great fighter wanted no part of him and demanded a bunch of extra money in a briefcase just to fight him.

the uppercut was actually the KO punch
Douglas just landed a few more before he got a chance to fall down
this KO was as beautiful as it was shocking
That last left hand was pretty crucial also, Douglas is a big boy and he had all his weight behind that punch.
@#1Assassin I somehow get your point but on which you acknowledge a beautiful KO but beg to disagree on Pac & Martinez, not preparing for their KO punch, and it was just the mistake of both hatton & williams resulting to that...
we agree on the KO beauty of Hearns-Duran, but dont see the fight the same way, to me it was easy for Hearns to do what he did as he had this big size & length advantage, and he was hurting duran from the beginning, Roberto at that fight was just trying to survive, even Duran himself during the post fight interview said after the fight that it was not him inside the ring...
lolz bro are you hating?
before pac-hatton or martinez-williams, nobody expected to see such KOs if you do not recognize the beauty of those KOs your just hating...
anyway at least we do agree with Hearns-Duran...
to me most of the beauty of a punch is in the set up, creating an opening and executing with perfect timing and precision. that intelligence to find the right spot for the right punch alongside the skill necessary to take advantage of the opportunity.
none of that is really relevant to martinez' KO of williams or pacquiaos KO of hatton. they didnt set anything up, williams and hatton just gave them a huge opening and like any world class fighter would they took full advantage. there isnt much skill in either KO, the target was not only given to them for free, poorly positioned and right there for them to hit but it stayed right there for some time giving them plenty of time to capitalize. no great amount of timing or precision was needed.
it wasnt like hearns-duran where hearns methodically worked to put him on the ropes. having worked the body previously he feinted downstairs with a few jabs distracting duran and making him square up a bit. then he fired the perfect right hand, it had to be because duran is too good a defensive fighter to give you easy shots. hearns threw it over the top this time as opposed to down the pipe like previous right hands to further catch duran off guard.
thats where the beauty lies, in the intelligence and skill of a KO. setting someone up and executing swiftly. after a great KO i get the feeling the loser did nothing wrong, he just fought an assassin of a fighter. i didnt feel that way about hatton and williams though, they made about as many mistakes as a fighter can make all at ones and any half decent fighter would take advantage. i dont feel martinez or pacquiao did anything special, hatton and williams dug their own graves.
so while it certainly was brutal, to me it wasnt beautiful.
Edit: i picked pacquiao to demolish hatton in brutal fashion, giving him no chance of going past 3 rounds. i saw it coming a mile away, idk how everyone didnt tbh.

so in other words you just started watching boxing?
some of those KOs arent that good anyways, pac and martinez just did what they were supposed to when an opponent pays zero attention to defense.
both of donaires counterpounch KOs and JMMs KO of pacquiao were highly skillfull though and indeed beautiful to watch.
to me the most beautiful KO ever would be something like walcott-charles 3, hearns-duran, mccallum-curry, foster-tiger or saad muhammad-mwale just to name a few. but there is so much to pick from, if you include fights before 2007 of course.

Donaire Darchinyan! That was a bad boy Bully got Koed by a weak cry Baby boy!

Martinez-Pwill
Donaire Montiel, face deformation was Great!

@ 1:20, you can almost feel the impact of that punch.
Definitely (in Lewis voice).
It's certainly up there though. I think it's arguably the best heavyweight title fight KO. Incredible. Just perfect.

That certainly has to be up there. NOt only is it simply an incredible KO in general but it's made all the greater by the fact that it was against an absolutely iron chinned top ten P4P ATG with incredible defense and savvy ring craft.
Yes, yes, past his best and too small....Still doesn't negate the other stuff above.
Bob Foster-Dick Tiger is pretty good also, if you like left hooks from an orthodox stance.
Foster was brutal at 175. Im kind of partial to his ko of Mike Quarry.
Hearns Cuevas is up with the best of them.
My personal favorite Hearns knockout, 2:20 or 3:40 is the better angle
There is also the James Shuler knockout
Hearns Cuevas is up with the best of them.
In terms of beauty i always liked Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz. The way the punches flowed so sweetly, all perfectly timed and placed :wank: damn im getting horny just thinking about it
That last uppercut is amazing. Looks like he's just flicking off a light-switch and Diaz goes down heavy.
Great ****ing feinting too. I see why you'd get that excited.
