The biggest Broner hater I have ever seen. I always laughed at the "journalist" you pretended to be, and how ridiculous your fight break downs were.
After the Broner-Rees fight, you were tweeting all that pro-Rios garbage and saying Rios would beat Broner, that Golden Boy was scared etc. Your pom-poms were waving high that night.
Now, after Rios gets exposed again (or did the Abril fight never happen?) you are on your twitter making a fool of yourself yet again.
First, you insinuate that Prescott is just as good as anyone Broner has fought. Yes, the same Prescott that has 5 losses including Paul McCloskey and Kevin Mitchell.
Then, you throw a shot at Oscar De La Hoya for suggesting a Broner vs. Alvarado fight. Saying that DLH should put Broner in a "tough fight that DLH could actually make." That is comical, because I think that Paulie M would outbox Rios with ease at 147. He would likely just as easily handle the same Alvarado that went life and death with Prescott. Yet, Broner jumping up two weight divisions to fight him is a "soft touch" when it is clear that Burns will never fight Broner.
Of course if you look at Rios last 4 fights, you realize how comical this "journalist" and his lack of breaking down a fight really are. Struggled mightily vs Murray, was completely shut out by Abril, won a life and death war vs. Alvarado (a B level fighter) and then followed that up by being out-boxed and out-fought down the stretch (while fading big time) by that same B fighter.
Adrien Broner would destroy Brandon Rios. He would mop the floor with Mike Alvarado. He would beat both down in a phone booth fight and would easily out-box either as well. Not to mention he is three years younger than Rios. Rios is a B level fighter that is absolutely nothing special, will not make the hall of fame, and will have a short career. Adrien Broner, barring injury or something career altering, will be an ATG. Just watch. Stephen Edwards, Da Breadman, now that man knows how to break down a fight. He is a professional and you are an amateur. You are just a biased hypocrite and I am sitting here laughing at right now "Cliff" hahaha.
Rios is not a one punch KO artist by any means. He wears guys down. Broner would crush him. Floyd-Gatti 2.
As much as I wanna agree with you, one thing is for certain, Broner over Rios is not common sense. Rios chin has been tested viciously, Broner's defense is not even close to prime Floyd. His offense is good but so is Rios, plus Rios is a better pocket fighter than Broner.
Odds would favor Broner, but it wouldn't be anything to put money on.
Broner vs De Leon
If broner and de Leon had never fought and someone would ask me who would win...I would have said broner crushes him in under 3 rounds (because of styles and cause I'm a fan of broner) but look how the fight REALLY played out. No matter how much common sense or knowledge of the sport you have you will never exactly know how a fight will turn out till it actually happens.
I guess it's easy to say that after seeing Rios lose but Broner hasn't fought anyone to prove he can stand up to any real punishment.
Broner spends so much time f*cking around being a jackass while Rios fights 3 minutes a round. I don't believe for a second that Broner can stop Rios early and whose to say he has the grit to survive a 12 round war against a guy who can take a shot in the face with a 2 by 4 without flinching.
Rios just isn't that good. There's simply no other way to look at it. Sure hr fights but 80% of what he dies is ineffective wasted aggression. He's essentially tailor made for broner. I don't know what u mean broner plays around. I've never seen him play around while in the ring. He's serious and he has a knack for setting traps as well. Its just a horrible horrible matchup for Rios. I dunno why ppl think otherwise but if ur simply hoping Rios wears broner down that's not a real good thing to bet on. Demarco couldn't do it and Rios probably can't either
I'm pretty confident broner would beat Rios with that said I have no issue with anything crold said Broner is simply the better fighter

Biased? Broner does not pay my bills. I explained exactly how and why he beats down Rios. You are the perfect example of someone you converse with and end up losing no matter what. Have a good night.
That doesn't mean it would exactly happen "how and why" you claim it would. Not sure how this doesn't register with you.
Opinion remains precisely that until the fight takes place.
Anyway, good night to you too!
I don't agree with a lot of what Cliff says but I'm not gonna start a thread and cry for 4 pages thus far and keeping melting down.
That would be fascinating if I was taking a survey. Unfortunately I am not. Perhaps invest in a dictionary and thesaurus.
This is like the third time you said you were done. Are you sure now?
Who is hanging on every word now? Glad you can count. Good job. You got smacked around worse in this thread than some of the moronic posters on here. Too bad you do not have a corner to rescue you.
All you've done is given your own biased opinion and somehow concluded it is fact, despite the event never happening.
You're claiming a fantasy 'W' based on well...a fantasy.

I wonder how relentless Rios would be after being a victim to the "best body attack in boxing" (from your boy Bread) and getting absolutely crushed on the inside. Rios is not a one punch KO artist by any stretch of the imagination. The fight would be a complete mismatch. The fact you refuse to confidently say Broner beats him now, only down the road after Rios is washed up (sorry to break it to you, he's already there) and that you think it would be a "hell of a fight" tells me all I need to know about your ability to break down fights. Good luck. This is the last time I address you. I have made my point. Take care.

I was wondering the same.
If Broner beat Rios, it wouldn't shock me. Given their promotional ties, by the time it could happen I likely would pick Broner easy. The most likely scenario is Rios is washed up years before Broner based on their styles and training habits. That said, Broner gets hit and he's never seen anything as relentless as Rios with the sort of size and power Rios has. It would, IMO, still be a hell of a fight. We're not going to see it when both are near peak so this is all an exercise in nada.

I actually agree with quite a lot of his points especially Prescott is as good as anybody Broners fought. In fact I'd argue he is better!
The McCloskey fight was a gift, he was clearly struggling to make 135 (any wonder? hes big even at 140) when he fought Mitchell & tbf Mitchell fought exceptionally well that night.
He gave Vasquez (the guy Broner seems petrified of) a real tough fight and had him on the deck, he was beating the snot out of Alvarado before he gassed, he gave Abril the toughest fight of his career (I did have Abril edging)
He destroyed Khan.
Prescott is a solid fighter & I have no doubt he would literally bury Rees, Litzau, Escobedo, DeMarco.
If Prescott fought Broners resume he would be undefeated & certainly wouldn't be outboxed by little DeLeon & Quintero.
I think Arturo Gatti beats Ray Leonard...it is called properly breaking down a hypothetical fight...using intelligence and common sense....you know, the thing he gets paid to do? Haha.

Rios is already fading out quicker than HBO can build him up. At times I actually thought Rios, who I have never said a good word about, looked really good at times. He showed more head movement. His punches looked crisp. But he faded as I thought he would. Hes gotten hit too much. Plus blowing up in weight between fights hurts him as well.
Yes. Arum wishes he could have cashed him out vs Pacquiao. Might still get a chance next year, who knows? But he is a B level boxer that is not in the top 5 at JWW. Alvarado is a better all around boxer than Rios is.
How can he be way off with his Rios-Broner breakdown, let alone be 'wrong', if the fight never happened?
