Who is going to end up winning the GBP 140 Tourney?
I will give the first person who predicts the outcome of all the matches (UD, KO, TKO etc) 200 billion points
Matthysse vs Peterson
Judah vs Garcia
Winner vs Winner
Winner vs Khan
Lets have it :boxing:
Matthysse vs Peterson - Matthysse
Judah vs Garcia - Garcia
Winner vs Winner - Matthysse
Winner vs Khan - Matthysse
Matthysse vs Peterson- probably Matthysse (hard one lol)
Judah vs Garcia-Garcia
Winner vs Winner-probably Matthysse
Winner vs Khan I think you can guess this one- Matthysse
Mattysse-Peterson - Tough fight, but I think Mattysse gets a late round TKO.
Garcia-Judah - Garcia wins, think it'll be by 5th round TKO, as Judah finds a way out of it.
Mattysse-Garcia - As much as I think that Garcia is going to shock everybody and score a KO, I think Lucas will be too much for him. Lucas by UD.
Mattysse-Khan - My prediction is that this fight doesn't happen for whatever reason.
ROUND 1
Matthysse vs Peterson: TKO10 Matthysse
Judah vs Garcia: UD Garcia
ROUND 2
Matthysse vs Garcia: TKO6 Matthysse
FINAL ROUND
Matthysse vs Khan: TKO5 Matthysse
Matthysse vs Peterson - Matthysse
Judah vs Garcia - Garcia
Winner vs Winner - Garcia
Winner vs Khan - Garcia
It will be either Garcia or Matthysse who wins it. Garcia Matthysse is going to be a close fight.
Matthysse vs Peterson - Matthyse TKO
Garcia vs Judah - Garcia UD
Garcia vs Matthysse - Matthysse SD
Matthysse vs Khan - Matthysse TKO
Well so far you guys are still in the hunt.
I hope there are no excuses from Garcia or Al Haymon about why a Garcia vs Matthysse fight cant happen.
Roll on the semi-finals
I must say for all the crap I read written about Khan on here, I didn't expect him to have as many votes as he does.
I'm still waiting for that lone ranger to pick Zab to win the tourney :lol1:
You have got to be kidding, Khan never hurt Zab with a single shot like Matthysse did, he just overwhelmed him with volume and then when Zab got hit on the belt line, he milked that to get 5 mn or a DQ. You think Molina would have lasted 10 rounds with Matthysse?
I might be wrong, and time will tell, but I got the impression that against top level competition Matthysse's knock downs are the result of accumation as much as Khan's.
Stylistically, Matthysse is a guy who looks to land a K.O. punch after working the body, while Khan moves in and out and doesn't load his punches as as much. And while I wouldn't argue if one gives Matthysse an edge, I don't think he such a K.O. monster, or so vastly superior in terms of overall power.
If facts prove me wrong, then I'll be the first to admit that I underrated Matthysse.
I would give Khan more than a chance against Matthysse to be honest, just because the Argentinian knocked out one guy with a counter right, that doesn't make him a counter puncher. Khan would trouble him more than Judas or Alexander did, for he seems both more powerful and faster than either.
Yes, Matthysse can K.O. him, but I'm not sure he has such a big power advantage. If we look at how Judah took punches from both men, it seems to show that they are level in that regard. It all depends on Khan's ability to fight smart, or at least not too stupid.

I think Matthyse and Judah win then Khan loses to Matthyse if he doesn't improve a ****load by then. He'll win rounds, tire out, then get beat on if he doesn't fix his problems by then.
Considering Khan is finalist by default, it's hardly a fair tourney.
I'm not a Garcia fan at all, but usually contenders fight each other to get a shot at the current champion, not the other way round.
That said, I absolutely give Khan a chance to (undeservingly) win this 'tournament'.
People act as if Khan never won, while he has more than decent wins against Kotelnik, Salita, Malignacci, Maidana and Zab Judah.

If he fights Peterson, it'd be another close fight, in my opinion.
Garcia is the most tricky, the guy already K.O'ed him, can Khan avoid to make the same mistakes?. Unlike Matthysse, Garcia relies a lot on counter punching.
ROUND 1
Matthysse vs Peterson: TKO10 Matthysse
Judah vs Garcia: UD Garcia
ROUND 2
Matthysse vs Garcia: TKO6 Matthysse
FINAL ROUND
Matthysse vs Khan: TKO5 Matthysse
I'm going with Garcia.. Lucas Matthyse got outboxed by Judah and only had power to save him by not getting too outpointed with one or two knockdowns.
Khan ain't ****, never was **** and never going to be ****. Peterson is going to be a problem and I have him beating Matthyse, I think after that Kendall Holt fight he got his rhythm back and is now more than ever hungry to prove himself. I promise Matthyse loses this fight.
judah wasn't doing sh-it. backpedaling while not landing punches isn't outboxing.
Between Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson.
Lucas Matthysse is so overrated with having done absolutely nothing, it has gotten out of hand. He will not even beat Peterson.
The favoritism over Matthysse, and the few votes for Peterson and Garcia remind me of Mikkel Kessler and Arthur Abraham being the two favorites to win the Super 6 Tourney, while Ward and Dirrell were the last two fans thought would win.
Peterson beats Matthysse in a hard fought victory, and Matthysse fans will then jump ships to some other boxer, just like what happened to Kessler.
