He's a low output, feather fisted boxer with absolutely zero offensive ability. Are people really impressed by the fact that he was able to get boring uneventful decisions over 2 blown up over 30 welterweights?
Oh and FYI I am a fan of Canelo's so please this has nothing to do with me trying to hate on him.
still a excellent fighter, he out-boxed Canelo like I thought he would but I also knew just out-boxing Canelo in Texas wasn't going to be enough lol exactly
There was no robbery, Trout clearly lost he's simply not talented enough to beat anyone good in his weight class
I disagree completely but Canelo is your boy so I get it lol
He just schooled Canelo, but he showed no sense of urgency. He was good enough to win, but not good enough to overcome robbery.

wow...
The thing is Trout isn't even slick
This dude said Trout is a 154 version of John Ruiz.... :nono:

So are these the threads we will see so the Canelo haters can justify the win vs Trout?
I'm guessing this is the reason.
:lol1: it would make sense that this is a Canelo hate thread... but logic doesnt seem to apply in NSB.
He's not great but at the very least, he's proven. Traveled outside the country and beat people in their own backyard. He's earned everything the old way.
Why do people keep saying Trout 'ran' against Cotto? When Cotto came forward he went back, when Cotto went back he went forward. Trout boxed against Cotto.
Its so dumb for Canelo fans to portray Trout as a bum because if he loses (a definite possibility) then Alvarez loses to bum, and if he wins he only beat a bum. Trout is a world champ, slick, awkward southpaw, and if Canelo wins he gets full full credit from me.
Resume arguments dont work either because both have very similar resumes (though for me a past prime Cotto is the best either have faced).

He didn't look like a 154 Ruiz against Cotto. He was very underwhelming otherwise, I'll give you that. Again, we'll see how he looks against Alvarez. Maybe he'll stink and prove you right.
I thought he looked exactly like a 154 John Ruiz against Cotto
Oh god. They are both FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR superior offensive fighters.
Trout has absolutely nothing in common with Mayweather or Hopkins.
Trout is more comparable to Devon Alexander except Alexander has much more power
I'm sorry but I can't take you seriously after the bolded comment. :nonono:
Besides, it seems the point you're hammering the most against Trout is that he's fought blown up's and old men... can you say Lopez, Baldomir and Mosely??? Please, you make yourself sound hypocritical when you make such comparisons against Trout, when Alvarez has done the same exact thing or worse. And, Alvarez was rocked HARD by the far less experienced and less talented little brother of the "washed up" Cotto. Doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things though, does it?
I don't even dislike Canelo, it just seems like some people try to discredit deserving opponents by making it more of a popularity contest and trying to convince other people to dislike them, rather then explain why fighter A should beat fighter B.
Serious question.... what are you gonna say if that 'bum' beats Canelo???
