He's exciting, he's got heart, but I don't consider him an elite P4P fighter. A guy with speed, athleticism and decent skills who decides to throw all this out the window and brawl with a bigger puncher, gets hurt then keeps brawling for 7-8 rounds until finally deciding to box and move? Nah I'm sorry but he's not the cream of the crop. He's a A level fighter with a C level brain.
Of course he aint a top ten fighter, everyone saw how Pac beat him easily 10-2 rounds. Before Pac actually beat Bradley though, Bradley was touted as possibly a top 10 fighter, but Pac made him look ordinary and ruined him.
But people pretend to think he beat Pac so its general consensus people thought lets pretend hes a top 10 fighter then, we might as well.
Because anyone who genuinely beats Pac is a top 10 fighter, but reality is Bradley didnt beat Pac, therefore isnt a top 10 fighter.
ur an idiot he absoluley one of the best
if he just stuck to his gameplan and fought his normal fight not brawling there woulda been no knockdowns
who beats hims at 147? floyd guerrero ? marquez? no shot
you don't realize why he did it, do you?
he didn't do it because he's dumb. he knew exactly how to sweep rounds in that fight. see rounds 7-10.
he did it (fought Provodnikov's fight for frequent periods) because there has been a sense in the industry of nobody wanting to go near Timothy Bradley. he's hard to beat, he makes you look bad, he doesn't bring marketability to the table, the risk of losing outweighs the reward in facing Bradley.
he was trying to put himself in the shop window tonight.
and in making Ruslan Provodnikov look good, while still winning the fight, he made himself an attractive opponent in two ways tonight:
1. he showed himself marketable - fans should want to see him again and be excited about a fight involving Tim Bradley
2. he showed himself vulnerable and therefore more easily beatable in the minds of potential name opponents (Marquez, Rios)
point #2 is deceptive, though - because, if Bradley lands that big fight with either of those two guys, you know he isn't going to be playing into the opponent's hands the way he did tonight.
No the reason why Bradley can't get big fights is because Top Rank doesn't have many fighters at 140 and 147, it's that simple. Bradley is a big name who fought on ppv, a LOT of fighters would love to get in the ring with him but can't because of promotional issues. He didn't need to make himself more marketable and he certainly didn't need to do it in such a stupid manner.
dude if Bradley would of ran n outbox Ruslan lol, i would of expect this dudes to come n sh !t on Bradley for running n boxing lol, but instead they sh !t on him for pleasing fans, yall dudes that hating on Bradley or Ruslan saying that Ruslan sucks yall are worst than women!!!!!!!!!
I never criticized any fighter for boxing intelligently, never! I love scientific boxing, his fight against Peterson is my favorite of his performances. You're not dealing with a hater so stop your strawman argument.
You guys realize it is possible to win impressively without taking a major beating and nearly getting KTFO a few times, right? Stop trying to make this into a marketing decision when the guy just subjected himself to the most brutal punishment he's ever taken in the ring. Marketing decision? Don't be surprised if this shortened his career. If it was a marketing decision it was ****ing retarded.

He let the dog in him assume control in the beginning and that's when all hell broke loose. It took getting wobbled in the first couple rounds to bring him back down to planet Earth, and that's when he started to mix it up like he usually does.
No my friend, it took 7 rounds of getting wobbled to finally realize that it might not be a good idea to stand and trade with this guy.
Is nobody else worried about all the damage Tim took last night? I mean, seriously, Ruslan can bang; its his biggest attribute. Bradley was wobbling around like a human unicycle for several rounds. I'm not even sure he'll ever look the same. That **** takes a toll on you.
Yeah there's a big possibility he'll never be the same after this fight...
Bradley fought like an idiot and he still won. If he rematches Ruslan he will win going away. I still don't know why he thought trading like that was a good idea. At least it was a great fight.
Even with 2 10-8 rounds he wins on my card. He won a lot more rounds. Just fought like an idiot. Jabbing 10 times in a row and opening himself up for overhand rights, trading squared up, etc. I think he felt he had something to prove when he doesn't have the power to do it.

Wish somebody would've told him he didn't need to make amends like that.
you didn't overrate anything.
for half of a fight, Bradley played right into the hands of the bigger, much harder-punching man, brought entirely the wrong kind of fight for the opponent he was up against. even then, Bradley would do well in exchanges, make his guy miss and land in multiples - the problem was that he was staying in there, and when he did get clipped we saw that eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve of Bradley's shots was barely equal to one or two of Provodnikov's in terms of effecting the opposite man. even when Bradley was bullying Provodnikov up close, there was always the sense that he was one stray punch from peril.
had Bradley elected to fight a strategically intelligent fight for 12 rounds, you would've seen a wide UD.
it's obvious what that performance was about. Bradley fought that way to put himself in the shop window for a big fight. Arum praised him for doing so after the fight and seemed approving enough that i can imagine Bradley-Rios or Bradley-Marquez being made in the next few months.
It would have been a wide decision and people on this forum would have been screaming bradley a boring runner.
very good fight I had it a draw - at least one of the first two rounds should have been 10-8. Bradley should good heart and skills, but the guy has no punch at all
He's not a top 10 P4P
His resume says different bruh.
People need to relax, he came in to this fight very emotional after the aftermath & let that get him out of his game plan.
He does need to lose some muscle though or he'll end up being like Berto, he came in last night jacked up, top heavy as shit. Which was 1 of the contributions to his downfall last night, he looked absolute slow on with his feet & couldn't get low or more his upper body like he has done before when he's come lighter on fight night.
This training camp they worked on Bradleys power which was wrong, they need to work to his strengths, his team need to realize that moving up in weight or coming in heavier then usual isn't going to turn his punches in too bombs.
He'll learn from it & come in better for his next fight.

Yeah dissapointing lol
I must admit, i thought Bradley was better then that performance, but i have to get Ruslan credit, he set some early damage into Bradley.
I still rate Bradley, he's a game tough little bastard, but perhaps I rated his skills a bit higher then i should have. The jury is still out. He got a lucky Pac result and that fight i thought he won, but i could also see Ruslan supporters give it to their guy, so Bradley has to sink some good wins home as hes riding a bit of luck at the moment and has left a couple of question marks on him.
I want to see the rematch because that was a great fight, I really enjoyed it, both guys delivered
The only possible explanation I have for what happened against Ruslan is ring rust, 147 just not being a good weight for him, and sheer stupidity and pride. Bradley is much, much better than that, and has proven it against far better fighters.
What he's done before this fight is easily worthy of a p4p ranking.
He gave the people what they wanted bojangles. They want blood and guts. Bradley let people calling him boring and a runner get to him.

P4P fighters don't get nearly knocked out several times in a fight with a hard-hitting but slow Russian dude. They just don't. Timmy showcased some serious flaws he's got tonight. That's all. Saying he's not elite or that he's not P4P isn't "totally discrediting him".
Because that dude knowingly did the exact opposite of what he was supposed to do to win people over.
Soon as he nearly got killed what did he do?
Carry out his gameplan while he cross-eyed and dazed.
You don't think he'd carry out his gameplan from the start if they rematched? Ruslan found most his success when Timmy stood there and traded
People on this site are ridiculous. I bet they think Rios or Matthysee should be ranked ahead of Bradley in the P4P rankings....Lol, this site has lost credibility to me.
I think he needs to change his trainer, he's feeding him bad advice.
At one point he told him to get inside with Providnikov, like wtf, that's the last thing he should do as it gave Ruslan a chance to land.
The gameplan for Pacquiao was wrong too, first 6 rounds he was coming forward and trading with MP.
Nah his trainer told him to move and hold in the 12th because "he'll try to knock you out" and what did Bradley do?
That's true, his trainer clearly told him to stay away, can't really blame Joel if Bradley doesn't listen.
Plus Joel was telling him to box him, and Bradley kept trying to brawl.
Bradley should have flexed the jab, throw a combo, and step around/circle away. If he would have stepped around Provonikov and tied him up more, he would have won the fight 10-2 or something like that probably.
Bradley's beaten too many good fighters to not be considered elite though. He's beaten Witter, Peterson, Holt, and Alexander all when they were considered good fights.
