Listen, Broner is only 23 years old and the kid has only 26 fights under his belt. Moving up two weight classes and fighting for a strap, that's pretty impressive if you ask me. I understand Paulie isn't the best Welterweight but he does have a strap. I think it will be a good fight :boxing:
Let the kid test waters up at Welterweight before knocking him down. Lets see what his next few fights are. So ya'll haters need to calm TF down.
Malignaggi is a test for Broner. He doesn't hit hard like Matthyse, Garcia or some others that people want Broner to fight, but his quickness and movement and is far superior. Malignaagi has been in the ring with punchers and not been taken apart by them.
If Broner tries the wide stance and standing in front of Malignaggi to apply his powerful body and head attack, Malignaggi won't be standing still to be hit by those shots, I am liking this fight, Malignaggi has a shot to outmaneuver and outpoint Broner.
Well it seems like Broner didn't have many choices. Restores much hope in him. Hopefully he just fights everyone like he says he will :boxing:
I think thats really what it is. No more options.
This kid was 100% set to fight Burns in June and people were mad his team never mentioned if Vazquez wins would they fight him. All while forgetting that Vazquez turned down the Broner fight and imo looks like he doesnt want to fight Burns or Broner.
So far hes going to fight 3 times this year.
vs Rees
vs Paulie
vs TBA in the fall or winter.
Damn that even fair to Trout. But i actually do still want to see Canelo vs Ortiz so I guess it doesn't matter as long as it's a good fight. But if trout wins I'd want him on PPV status too
Yeah its f*cked up for Trout .But I think there is a good chance that Floyd would fight Trout if he beat Canelo.
GBP is locked into Canelo. Nothing short of him getting brutally KO'd will stop them from setting him up as a PPV star. Trout isnt going to hurt him at all so even if he loses a decision it won't matter. He could still fight Ortiz, Maidana, or Angulo all on PPV.

He's not. This is just what NSB always does when it comes to fighters they dont like. But if certain fighters skip divisions or only fight once at a weight its not a problem.
Schafer announced that the Peterson-Matthysee winners will fight the Judah-Garcia winner and that winner gets Khan. So who the f*ck is Broner ducking at 140 pounds? And how is he ducking them?
Paulie was suppose to fight in June (June 22) along with Broner (June 15) but Paulie had trouble getting his fight made and Schafer had problems with SSE which led to Schafer saying **** it they can fight each other.
Abril has some kind of infection and Burns is being sued. I just dont think posters really think when it comes to Broner. These are the same idiots who said he would duck DeMarco. Then when it got signed DeMarco was suppose to stop the "hype". Then when Broner wiped his ass with him they pretended it never happened and went on the hes picking on midgets crusade just because he had a stay busy fight and hell even those idiots actually say Rees outboxed Broner until he got stopped. They're f*cking stupid.

lol honestly if canelo headlines a ppv after losing to trout thats ****ed up. Trout deserves that **** not a spoiled protected ginger. I'm not hating but if he loses to Trout and gets better treatment I will be :boxing:

Holy ****... I never thought of this lol Maybe Broner isn't intentionally skipping the weight class

Coz it's a Cherry pick!! Broner picks the weakest puncher in the 147 division! Broner should clean house 1st. There's Vasquez, Mathesee, Maidana, at 140 below.
Because its Broner and all logic and reasoning goes out the window when it comes to him. Dude was even rumored to jump 2 divisions to face Guerrero...before he beat Berto and no one had a problem with it. No one.
In fact when it didnt happen he was ducking RG whos only claim to fame was beating Aydin.
Is Paulie the best fight he could get at 147? No. Should his first fight at the weight be for a title? No.
Im not going to kill Broner for the fight. Its f*ckin CLEAR AS DAY that GBP/HBO are 100% focused on building their next star especially since Floyd is done on their network. They are doing it with Canelo who will headline his first PPV this fall whether he beats Trout or not. And they are doing it with Broner by trying to get him a belt in one of boxings most storied divisions not to mention the damn kid could still move back down ffs.
I see b*tching just to be b*tching in this thread. Sh*t its not even set in stone that he beats Paulie.

since the lil baby is only 23 then maybe he should vacate his titles, stop fighting on hbo, and fight some espn-level guys for espn-money.
maybe you like watching showcase fights, but i'm not a big fan of that. at least not on hbo/sho/ppv. if he's gonna fight in the big leagues then he should be fighting major league opposition. which malignaggi isnt.
and this "hater" nonsense...makes me cringe everytime someone says it. whether it's regarding boxing or not. i suppose we should all accept EVERYTHING in life and LOVE everything that's crammed down our throats. all hail the hbo hype-wagon as it can do no wrong. after all, its for the good of the sport. forget that best fighting the best nonsense, that's just money down the toilet.
Great post.
What most idiots don't understand is that Broner is jumping up two weight divisions. Let the f@wking guy test the division out before fighting stiffer competition. Yes Pualie isn't the best at WW but it's only a stepping stone. Lets judge him after a few fights at Welterweight not by this one fight. Bunch of crybabies TBH.
This is nothing different than what they've been doing with Khan/Canleo. Look at Canelo's list of fights, the guy has 41 fights, now we get to see him with the top 154lb'er Trout. Stop ****ting on Broner and enjoy the fights. We will see the fights we want soon enough. If we don't I'll be the first one to call a spade/a spade and saying Broner is ducking.
Like I've said lets see what he does at WW after the Malignaggi fight and then we can judge the kid.hey ross, we all know that you are using this alt to defendthe midget assasson but even if you use a ****in alt, lol, deep down inside, you will still be dreaming about broner and you between the sheets, lol, now stop kizzing broners ass and stop worshipping him cuz you always wind up sounding like a troll, lol, just like i at many times but difference between me and you is that you are a dilusional troll
Canelo at age 22: "I want to fight the best!" Fights the number 1 JMW in the world.
Broner at age 23: "I'm the can man anybody can get it!" Fights a 33 year old man who punches like a featherweight who might not even be in the top 10.
It's starting to sound like his challenge to Max Kellerman in his post fight interview his last fight was serious.

Because there's better fights at 140.
Jumping 2 weight classes is admirable, but jumping them to fight Paulie...not so much.
Like who? (that will be ready to fight in June)
Its a pointless move for a talented guy in my opinion. I think he should've cleaned out the lightweight and jr. welterweight first. It will be okay if he fought someone more of a threat if he has the balls.
