Should Ward and all of us be hoping Cloud beats Hopkins?

Is he really the betting favorite? Is this online? If so, I might put some money on Hopkins. He is the slight favourite and I'm guessing it's because Hopkins lost his last fight. I'm putting money on Hopkins. That's some of the easiest money someone can make.

Cloud is the betting favorite to beat Hopkins and I think he has a good chance to beat Ward if the fight is at 175. Cloud is a young, improving champion with a high work rate and good power in both hands. He is strong enough to break free of Ward's holding and hitting.He might just test Ward's chin.

Plenty of good fights at 175 if Ward moves up: Ward vs Pascal Ward vs Dawson II (175, lineal championship) Ward vs Sergei Kovalev Ward vs Kessler/Froch Ward vs the Black Russian (maybe if he gets a few more solid wins) Ward vs Beibut Shumenov Plus, if Hopkins beats Cloud that doesn't automatically mean a Ward vs Cloud fight wouldn't be a good fight later down the line. Word...It's not like the well is dry at 175...many match-ups in that division

other than the winner of Froch-Kessler 2, theres really no one else to fight that would be a big fight except Cloud. and we already know hopkins and ward are never gonna fight each other. how much of a shot does cloud have? Jean Pascal? Pascal would be a big fight, he's a huge draw in Canada. Fight would be bigger if Pascal beats Dawson again. You beat me to it. I think Pascal might be willing to fight at a catchweight too. Imo Ward avoids him.

Cloud is not beating Hopkins. Never, ever. Hopkins could beat Cloud on his 50th birthday.

I don't think Cloud is somebody you want to get old against. B-Hop will probably drag him to the deep waters. But Cloud is strong as a bull. Limited. But very strong. As far as Ward, fight will never happen.

I don't see how he can avoid a Dawson rematch if he moves up. Unless Pascal beats Dawson in May. Dawson is one of the few "real" champions at 175 that we have right now.

Cloud is really pretty mediocre, I don't think Ward is going to give him a fight even if he beats 48 year old Hopkins Well, if Cloud beats Hopkins it makes much more sense than fighting Pavlik in 2013. I could definitely see it happening if Cloud wins. Ward UD 120-108.

I read somewhere that he wanted Cloud and Cleverly.
