And I have a couple of thoughts.
1. Damn Kenny kissin Floyd's @ss so much now. For anyone that knows their history that is ironic. Showtime? More like Floydtime!
2. Its good to see Floyd wearing different hats. Fighter, trainer, promoter? Ole dude a triple threat now? Can't hate on that. Wish they would have played his corner more though they only let us hear like twice. But as a promoter he is really taking care of his fighters, I'm somewhat impressed. And Showtime will strokejob any of his fighters too so more and more will want to sign with his company.
3. J'leon lost that fight to Findley. I know everyone's trying to accomodate Floyd now, but come on. Findley was more aggressive and landing the harder shots, and Love was in full retreat on more than one occasion. Findley losing was collateral damage from the whole Floyd Showtime deal thing because Findley deserved the W in that one.
4. Good for Ishe Smith. Floyd used his financial muscle and got him a title shot out of nowhere! And K-9 was ripe for the picking, dude's technique is so poor. Ishe is not exactly a strong champion at 154, he loses to Canelo, Trout, Cotto, Lara, and Vanes, to name a few, but I'm glad he got to realize his dream.
Love won his fight, no question in my mind from ringside........ Rockin':boxing:
What is your criteria? If its whoever pranced around the most, in survivor mode at times, landing ineffectual jabs and pitty pat shots, go for Love.
To me Findley didn't look busted up, he looked frustrated. He knew the politics of the fight and knew he had to stop the guy or at least get a a couple kd's, but he couldn't. He wasn't gonna win that fight on points, quit playin.
Canelo could beat Ishe.. I know Canelo is untested, protected, and all that but he has the tools and the power to derail an Ishe type of fighter.
9 rounds to 1 was crasy but Love won the fight. He busted Findley up bad in that fight. Loves body shots were doing damage. He slowed Findley down multiple times in that fight. To give Findley the nod is crasy and you shouldnt be judging fights.
...and you shouldn't be typing.

I thought love won in a close fight but this fight just shows what kind of fighter he is. Findley is as slow as they get and really troubled love. Somethings when the "boxing" thing isnt working out, you need to get in there and fight, basically adjust.
It's good for Ishe that he won, but he looked just as bad as love that night, just that K-9 decided to become a "boxer" and run around most of the night. Ishe runs in 1 gear and doesnt take chances and go to the next gear.
Love did lose the fight & the scorecards made it THAT much worse. I think Ishe is a solid fighter & at least 1 of his losses wasn't, (against Guerrero). I do think he can beat canelo though. But not Trout & Lara, hell maybe not Vanes either. Him & Molina would be a solid scrap cause neither possess equalizing power & both are solid workhorses for the most part.
The crazy thing is; if Berto hadn't double-crossed Lou DiBella and jumped ship to Golden Boy, that would have been him winning the title the other night, and probably facing Floyd or Canelo on May 4. Lou had already negotiated a fight with K9 when it was announced Berto was fighting Guerrero.
****ing Berto.
