Didn't know if anyone's seem this yet. It's an article about an interview Jeff Mayweather did. According to him, and he's the ONLY Mayweather I'd ever possibly trust, Pacquiao's advisors have interest in Floyd-Pacquiao in September, and Guerrero wants 4 million, rather than the 2.5 million being offered.
Guerrero is a better style for Mayweather, Guerrero will bring the fight to Mayweather. It will be more exciting than a fight with Alexander, $4 mil is too much. Guerrero doesn't have the fan base.
2.5 is a pretty good deal considering that Ortiz only got 2 for defeating an undefeated Berto. Not saying Ortiz is better than Guerrero. But these fighters got to start somewhere. If Guerrero wants to make more money, take the 2.5 million, defeat Mayweather, then he can start calling the shots. It's about earning the spot. Guerrero should just take what he can get for now. Which is more than he's ever made.
Guerrero is a nobody. Like a few other posters have stated, he can't make 2.5 million dollars against anyone else, but Floyd. $2.5 million dollars is a generous offer considering that Guerrero hasn't done much and is unknown to casual fans. His performance against Berto was decent at best. He was inconsistent and didn't looked like an elite boxer. Now, having said all that, Floyd needs to be put back in jail if he takes the Alexander fight. I'd rank that fight on the same level as Mayweather-Mitchell.
That's another thing. Is Guerrero REALLY asking for 4M? I don't care what anybody says but Guerrero is a much tougher fight than people think and definitely a MUCH TOUGHER fight than Alexander.

Guerrero is a much tougher fight because he`s gonna cheat. In a fair fight he would get beat easily.Regardless if he fights fair or not he would get beat in a dominating fashion.
He offered 40 million flat....but you think that had Manny announced he was willing to take 45%, rather than waiting 10 months later to say so, that they wouldn't have negotiated a % split???
I'm not getting into this.....really it's been done so many times.
According to Floyd he offered Pacquiao 40 mil and was gonna offer him some money that`s made from the back end of the fight but Pacquiao said 50/50 then pass the phone to Micheal Koncs.
40 mil plus money on the back end;Pacquiao would have probably made 60-70 mil.
According to himself Mayweather's supposed to be the biggest fight and the best fighter in boxing and people want to get on Guerrero for asking for a decent fee?
Sounds like 50 pence was right when he said Floyd hates to see anyone else make money.
Personally I think Guerrero is within his rights to play hardball. He's got here the hard way. Apparently a fighter 'being his own man' is only ok with the flomos if it's to Floyd's advantage.
I don't think he will be getting 4 mil.
I hope Guerrero don't turn down anything around 2.5 mil cause he is not going to do that much money with anybody else at this moment but he should get his fair shake.
Guerrero has fought his way into the picture
Jeff Mayweather does seem to be the most level headed of all the Mayweathers, but when has he ever been right? He's always talking about Floyd fighting some dude in some foreign country. He's always wrong. Yes he's the most articulate of all the Mayweathers, he's calm, doesn't talk crap, but he's always wrong. When has anything he said actually happened?
If Guerrero gets 4 million God bless him. I don't think he is worth that much. He has much less fan base than Victor Ortiz and that is not saying much.
I don't think he will be getting 4 mil.
That's 100% false and fabricated. There is no 4 million dollar demand from Guerrero, fact.
If Guerrero gets 4 million God bless him. I don't think he is worth that much. He has much less fan base than Victor Ortiz and that is not saying much.
If Guerrero is turning down 2.5 mil it tells me that he was seeking a fight with Floyd to simply cash out (Kinda obvious). If he intended to win the fight he'd accept the offer because winning would push him into stardom where the 1.5 million lost is chicken feed.
Guerrero is about to mess this money up and make a dumb move and be like Marquez instead of getting paid millions he is going to be fighting some bum for a couple of thousand. Difference being Marquez had a leg to stand on and should have just negotiated better. Guerrero doesn't have a damn thing to stand on or a point to make by asking for that amount if true.
let me save you people some time,
Anytime someone mentions a fight involving pacquiao or floyd in dubai, mexico, or macau, or some foreign exotic location,
SHAKE YOUR DAMN HEAD AND MOVE IT ALONG. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
Or in a special stadium that Bob Arum is claiming to be building.
