These are two absolute stinkers. Especially agitated by the Donaire vs. Darchinyan fight because it robs us out of two potentially very good fights (against Rigo and Mares).
They are both bad fights, but i feel Donaire vs. Darchinyan is an even bigger joke.
I'm not trying to justify Floyd but at least devon is kinda a relevant title list to the minimum extent.
It'd be one thig if Vic was champ wanting that fight but he's not a champ, washed up, got brutally KTfO last time and has no business fighting Donaire when Donaire still needs too prove he's the best of his division with Rigo and Mares still leaving a question mark.

Donaires>Mares resumes at super bantam since the TR-GB beef prohibits them from settling it in the ring
Rigo along with his name should be cast into oblivion if he doesn't sign to face Donaire
Its not like that just came out of nowhere..... Everyone knew it was a stretch when Donaire-Mares was brought up but ppl like myself had hope otherwise
Golden Boy at least offered 3 milion for Donaire and Top Rank to make it happen.....I doubt Donaire is afraid of Mares, I don't think ANY FIGHTER is afraid of anyone, it's the promoters probably.
Donaire is not ready for 126 i think. He has looked shaky at 122.
Maybe a fight with Chris John would be possible though?
Doubt mr Bob want to pit Garcia and Donaire against each other.
That fight isn't happening..... They're both on record saying as much (Donaire,Garcia)
If Rigondeaux isn't figured out and they don't want to fight Mares, and I'm surprised at how everyone's just going with the "Oh it's TR/GBP, won't happen" excuse, there's still better fights than a Darchinyan rematch.
Terrazas or Frampton at 122 would be better fights, or one of the other top 10 fighters there. Or someone like Dib, Fortuna, Walters, or Caballero as his first fight at 126.

Hope so.....
The WBC and IBF straps are up for grabs in vacant title fights coming up Mijares-Terrazas and Lopez-Romero..... There is only two straps left and Donaire holds one of them
Plus I don't think the young guns are ready yet Frampton/Quigg
With that said I still don't want to see Donaire-Vic II if the Rigo fight falls apart
I can't imagine Rigondeaux being so stupid as to turn this down, not after all the trash talk to get the fight.
I still think Rigondeaux is going to happen, and this will all get settled.
I don't know the rankings at 122, but I'd take anyone top ten for any of his belts over a Darchinyan rematch. That is ridiculously pointless.

At least Donaire fights four times a year, this could just be a stay busy while he works on something better, floyd fights once a year, if that, we've waited how long for floyd to fight? The best he could do was Devon? And we are expected to pay for this?

Who should he fight (Donaire)??? The only realistic option I could come up with is Terrazas and I'm not to sure Terrazas would want to pass up a shot at the title against Mijares to fight Donaire unless the purse was substantial
If they don't want to fight Mares, and Rigondeaux's "situation" with Caribe isn't figured out....than he should go to 126.

Even though they both suck, A LOT, at least Alexander is somebody within Mayweather's division. That's why I'm completely with you about Donaire-Darchinyan. Vic is nobody at 122, and Donaire already smoked him years ago.
I'm a Donaire fan, but this sucks. I don't care if Rigo is to blame for the fight not happening, that would suck.

while i feel both fights rob the fans.... at least Darchinyan comes to fight.... i think Vic is one hell of a fighter and i think he'd do better against Nonito this time around...though the fights we all want is Mares & rigo... everyone knows Alexander is not coming to fight Floyd... he's coming to evade and make devastating sound effects with his mouth

Oh come on. Okay, Rigo may be difficult to deal with, i won't deny that. He may even be straight out ducking Donaire. Same could be said for Donaire (or bob) ducking Mares.
But to make a rematch with Darchinyan? Really? Are you saying there's no time to make a better fight?
Donaire have a bunch of interesting fights. Floyd have few.
They are both AIDS, but i'm more pissed about Donaire - Vic.
