Broner vs Matthysse? Will It Ever Happen?

Mattysse is all wrong for Broner. Broner is not a slick fighter. He does use that shoulder roll, but he stands in front of guys & trades. Now it's working out fine atm cause he's bigger than most everyone under 140. But when he gets to 140 & stands in front of those guys his size who possess big power, he won't look that dynamic. I think Lucas destroys his body & stops him. I like both fighters a lot but you're absolutely correct. If Broner chooses to stand in front of him and trade Lucas will lay him out. Zab and Alexander's styles worked against Lucas so they were able to elude Lucas' assault.

If Broner can carry the weight well then I might be inclined to go with him. I think he's improved since the De Leon fight and is a much smarter fighter than what we saw at 130. This will depend on his development at 135 though. I could easily see Matthysse winning though. Would be a good fight.

Who cares. Rios, Garcia and Matthysee need to all be fighting each other. Then we'll see whos still left at 140 for Broner when he moves up. Broner has work to do at 135.

Watching Broners maturation my best guess would be he hits 140lbs when he's 25yrs old! He makes 35 easily but that will get tuffer however I don't see him at 147 at all!! The only way is if theres money there that he can't earn at 140! I think this kid and his people will move carefully and tactfully because at his age he's in control! Theres NO hurry to do anything they don't want to do!! Ofcourse fans see things differently but I have a feeling this kid wants to take on the best but its smart to parlay options at the right times! Fighting is the easier part of boxing the business can be brutal! Ray.

I think Matthysse would KO Broner and Golden Boy won't let that happen.
