fighters success / wins....this is the truth
to his fans, it does'nt matter if he did'nt fight the biggest threat as long as he waited long enough until somebody beat that guy , then beating the latter was just as good...funny sh1t
kostya - got beat by hatton that floyd beat
margarito - got beat by shane that floyd beat
pacquiao- got beat by jmm that floyd beat
these are just some of the lameass arguments you get from his fans..
and this is the same reason why floyd gets labeled a ducker..and not becuase he's a villain , or becuase he's black or any other bs thats out there..
cotto- he did'nt want to fight floyd then according to his fans,... point they are missing is he did'nt fight him when a victory over cotto would've meant a lot...for some reason they think wanting to fight him and actaully fighting him are the same thing...lol
now that the biggest threat just lost, floyd's back to action to prove he's the number# 1 guy p4p ...vs the number 1 available opponent... this is true on paper, ..but i think it's safe to say that floyd is only willing to fight the number 1 opponent when the division he wants to fight in at becomes weak..
this is not a pac vs may thread btw.. it's only a floyd thread but feel free to post anything, i aint that sensitive...
Floyd is joke in boxing circles to real fans. JMM calls Floyd out, Floyd is happy to fight JMM. Sergio calls Floyd out, and Floyd dont answer.
Floyd is happy to fight Hatton after hatton was nearly koed by Collazo, so Collazo ruined hatton, not Floyd.
Floyd watches his peers beat up on each other then tries stealing credit off of the man who just had 4 fights against hard competitors. Floyds opponent had a good run, but of course is due a bad performance, and thats when Floyd steps in.
If Floyd fight Sergio and beat him will you say Sergio was nearly knocked by Chavez Jr ? The same way you say that **** about Hatton.
The thing is that if Floyd didnt fight Hatton you would hate like a mad man that he was scared. If he fights and beat him then he was waiting till Collazo nearly knocked him. Problems with haters is that that find a way to hate no matter what.

Mosley left GBP to get the Manny fight.
Mayweather was already a year into retirement when the Pac-Oscar fight happened.
And lmao at citing the Cotto fight, that's the same Miguel that your little tin can hypejob refused to fight without a 148 cw.
That was the point .... others would do anything to fight Manny, Margarito, Cotto as Mosley did but Floyd didn't try even though he keeps on telling us that he is his own boss.
Manny vs Oscar and other TR vs GB fights are just proof that it can be done so stop with your excuses and AGAIN, isn't Floyd his own boss?
What about those like P. Williams who called out Floyd and are not under TR? Just admit that Floyd is not as concerned about his legacy as his fans are and is just doing it for the money. Then we can stop with these threads!!!
Only Floyd fans would have the courage to bring up Cotto's name. Floyd fought Cotto 5 years too late when it was a relatively safer fight.
Why do you guys keep talking about the man going on vacation or retiring? Doesn't he have the right to do so? The man has been boxing before he started walking.
Damn, I swear you guys are undercover Floyd fans. The ones talking about him are far worse than his fans. One a daily basis, the hate threads outweigh the fan threads. Oh, you can be your own boss and take advise from people, there're called advisors. Every boss has an advisory staff
lol! Floyd just happened to do it at the right time twice! That was the point .... if Floyd would have said, retire or I fight Baldomir then that would have been one thing but fight a JWW then retire then vacation again when he didn't want to fight Manny?
The point is that if there is very few to cherry pick from then he vacations.
Do people realize Margarito hasnt won one round since being busted for illegal handwraps? And this is the bum thats suspodes to boost up the great Floyd Mayweathers resume? Hysterical. Margaritos more famous for calling Floyd out more than anything he ever did in the ring. Hes lost every big fight hes been in.
this is so true the majority of people didn't know margarito untill he became linked to mayweather
who is margarito?what was his signature win?who has a better resume at ww in the last couple years than floyd?
you look at a fighter like pacquiao the last couple of years he has only gotten so much credit because he was looked at as the smaller fighter not because he was fighting the best competition

you a hater man that's the only thing I can think of to explain why you come up with this because it's all pieced together crap based on opinion when FACT says Floyd fought some great fighters in their prime early on and he hasn't stopped facing world class opposition since Genaro. you clearly hate Floyd I just don't know why
I was going to do a like for like description of Pacquiao's career since moving up from 135lbs. List all the credible wins against welterweights and above and how many of them hadn't already beenrecently beaten (by Mayweather, ironically, or someone else), how many weren't tainted by catchweights and how many welterweights he's actually fought recently considering he IS campaigning there right?
But I think the better thing to do, is admit Mayweather could've made different choices and maybe his resume might be better. Fighting Cotto in '08 and fighting Margarito would make things better in some people's eyes. Maybe However, Tszyu should be left well out of it.... unless someone can tell me when he and Mayweather were realistically supposed to fight.
One more thing, can the thread starter or someone else say why they think Mayweather's career north of 135lbs is so much worse than Pacquiao's that it merits yet another thread while Pacquiao escapes similar analysis?
So a Pacquiao fan is belittling Floyds fights over 135
The ****ing irony
He doesn't belong in the conversation. After his win over Cotto his fights took a harsh nosedive.
Fruck come on! Remember in 6 years he fought only 4 times while others fought 10-12 times. These 4 fights is not even you can call a quality wins but shit wins (weight cheated Marquez, grandpa Mosley, sucker punched Ortiz and past prime Cotto). Your boy is good avoiding dangerous opponents but smart enough to let them fought one another while watching from a safe distance.
Floyd wouldnt do well in a super 6 tournament so isnt a fighter really. He needs more preperation than other fighters.
If he was in a super 6 tournie and won one fight against Ward he would refuse to fight Froch, Dirrell, and all the others claiming Ward is the best. But in reality that is only 3 points.
I knew this was coming a mile away... Nice set up.
New year, same puga. Figured I'd give the thread a chance to see if he had become a boxing fan during his time away. Guess not.
The thing that people fail to bring up about 2006-2008 WWs, is that none of these guys really made a claim to the WW throne, there wasn't one fighter there that put up any consistency in their wins. They were all beating eachother. Williams beats Matthysse in a slug fest, Cintron beats Matthysse, Margarito beats Cintron, Cotto beats Quintana, Cotto beat Mosley, Williams beat Margarito, Quintana beats Williams, Williams beats Quintana, Margarito beats Cotto, Mosley beats Margarito, Pacquiao beats Cotto.
The last man standing, who really made a mark, was Shane Mosley, and that is who Mayweather fought. Mayweather tried to make the Pacquiao fight, but Pacquiao backed off. Mayweathers choices in 2010 were Pacquiao and Mosley, the two beat options at the time, people forget that Floyd wanted those two and only those two. He tried to make the fight and it is pretty publicized that Pacquiao simply said no to the 15 day cut off that he asked for, once it was granted to him. Pacquiao said no, and that is where that argument ends. Mayweather went with the lineal champion Shane Mosley instead, who was claimed by fans as being avoided by both Mayweather and Pacquiao.

Grandpa Mosley is still Cottos best win in his entire carreer. Its not like Mosley was in his prime. He was 36 years old.
Ho hum. Another day another mind numbing thread from one of the fringe birther level manny fans about floyds resume. Iall the usual stuff-weight cheated jmm, margs was some kind of monster, kosta wasn't hurt. Hatton wasn't at hgis best weight, nosley was old. Floyd cherry picked and ducked. He's boring. He's only undefeated because he didn't fight anyone.
Its been 7 weeks and some posters are still upset that mannys ass has been platered all over the internet and tv because he got ktfo. I guess accusing jmm of being on peds with the eye test has suddenly become passe so its back to the usual.
Sad and funny part is people **** on Floyd for "avoiding" Margarito, when cheato isn't more qualified as a WW than Robert is. Biggest win Marg had at the time was who? Kermit Cintron? The so called next PR Boxer to be the savior for PR's who love the sport? I don't see how people, who unless have a bias feel Margarito was this super worthy opponent.
I don't see how the Hatton fight was a bad match up
Cotto v Floyd in 2008 would've been perfect, but only cuz its good sport. Cotto has, is and will always be Floyd's ***** in the ring. Not saying the fight wasn't worth watching but still
The Margarito back than was a fighting machine who did non stop punching with an iron chin it would have been to much for Floydie who had a hard time with Castillo. The Margarito that fought Mosley was damaged goods from the Cotto fight in which the punishment finally got to his body. You also got to take into account that Mosley was juiced like a Mother Phucker, proof able to throw bombs for 9 rounds while only able to fight 2 rounds with Mayweather after sucking for air
If Floyd fought today like he did at 135 and under he would probably be considered to be one of the greatest top 10 fighters of all time but History will Judge him on Cherry picking old has been's and little guys who have to move up in weight to fight him such as Hatton, Ortiz and Marquez. I know the Floydiots always whine and bytch when I write the truth, all I have to say to you guys is Phuck U
His resume at 140 isn't good but at 147 he may have the best resume among active fighters.
