Who is gonna win this fight?
Trout coming off a big win against Cotto.
Canelo hasn't been in a fight for a while, and win was against another mediocre fighter.
I do believe this will be Canelo's first definitive win... If not Trout will prove himself to be a serious competitive fighter.
i got trout by decision
i based my pick on style and comp
trout has a tough style
not even including the win over cotto
trouts win over delvin rodriguez > over anything canela has done at 154 lbs
and with all the hype that surrounds canela his best win is ryan rhodes his most notable win is shane mosley
Trout = similar style and atributes as Moreno, Canelo = similar style(a bit more stationary and slower then) and atributes as Mares.
canela fights nothing like Mares. Mares can fight a full round non stop while canela fights in spurts and takes breaks in fights he is dominating against overmatched opponents:nonono:
Mares has proven himself to be legit over tough comp
while canela has not
Mares is not the mover that Moreno is but that does not mean he is in any form a stationary fighter. Mares is not stationary at all unlike canela
What makes you think Trout can't handle Canelo's power? You guys acting like he's a new young version of Mike Tyson. Didn't Ricky Hatton's brother go 12 rounds with dude??
...
Not like he showed there to win either. By your judgement Donaire is a pillow puncher too because super tiny flyweight Narváez went 12 with him in a bantham match.
Andre Ward was dropped early in his pro career, was rumored to have a glass jaw & ended up soundly defeating the best & hardest punchers around his weightclass & is now widely considered the #1 pfp fighter. Just saying.:dunno:I don't think Trout has a bad chin at all. I did not mean to imply that. He has a good chin and has never been down as a pro. Vanes hits very hard. I just brought it up to show that Trout can be hit and hurt and that is what I think Canelo will do to him at some point in the fight. No one knows how it will go until it happens and Trout may outbox him for the win just as you said. You and I will bet some points on it. I'll get together with you on that soon.
When I first watched Trout it was against Canelo´s brother, and honestly they both looked like espn friday night fighters undercard. Canelo wont have much problems with Trout.
Trout and Moreno are southpaws, but Trout doesn't utilize his legs as much as Moreno does. Trout seems more comfortable on the inside, has a bit more pop in his shots, and also presents more of a physical threat than Moreno does. Canelo seems to be much more of a counter-puncher than Mares, and he's still questionable in chin/endurance/stamina. They also don't fight at the same tempo. Canelo and Trout seem to be closer in size than Mares/Moreno.
I don't think we know enough about both guys to say that this fight will turn out like Mares/Moreno.
Fair enough! I think Moreno and Trout fighting very similar, but you are right trout fights more on the inside and Moreno uses his legs more.
But my view on Canelo is that he has to fight like Mares did, non stop relentless presure and body punching, wich I think he will do and has done in the past with lesser fighters.

Canelo is nothing like Mares and neither is Trout like Moreno.
I'm not comprehending the comparison.

I didnt vote on this one because im not sure on the outcome. Trout is a good young boxer but Cotto was able to land big left hooks. Trout did well down the stretch against Cotto but ive seen him fade late in fights in the past. So has he really solved that problem? Plus he has no jab like most southpaws. Its more of a backhand. He cant control the fight with his jab. Now Canelo has been brought up nicely. Hes fought on the big stage before but never against this caliber of fighter before. All we really know about Canelo is hes a big puncher. He was rocked by the Cotto dude, not Miguel, on the Mayweather Mosley card. He was outboxed for half of the rounds against Gomes. But he has improved since then and Trout can be hit. So im intrieged. Hope Shafer makes it happen.
If Canelo fights Trout then he is no longer a pampered, overtected fighter. If he beats Trout he is not a hype job. Trout became the fighter that Canelo was supposed to duck after he beat Cotto. Canelo was supposed to fight a washed up old fighter or a junior welterweight according to the people who did not like him. Canelo was ready to fight Williams, Kirkland, and Ortiz and now he may be fighting Trout.
Tough fight, Trout is proven, but Canelo seems to have the goods. I voted Canelo KO/TKO. Trout won't be able to push him around like he did Cotto. Also Trout doesn't have superb defense, he can get hit and with Canelo being a natural junior middleweight, unlike Cotto, i think he can do some serious damage. He also has underrated hand speed. This is gonna be Canelo's coming out party. Oh and Trout is gonna get torn up by that left hook to the body;)
I voted Canelo by KO. I think Trout is a very good fighter but I an a big Canelo fan and have confidence in him to defeat any fighter his weight. Vanes knocked Trout down and had him badly hurt in an amateur fight.

Trout by 116-112 SD. Trout out-lands Canelo and finishes stronger.
This will be a reply of mares vs moreno!!! I got canelo on this one!
I'm not comprehending the comparison.
