This is a potential career ending fight for the loser of this fight, one thing people can't fault Khan for is his ability to take tough fights, Even Ortiz is taking on tough challenges nowadays, so kudos to both if they go at it when a softer option are available.
Ortiz always has taken tough fights in fairness, he's just quit in a couple of them which has done his reputation harm.

Not buying it. Ortiz is closer to 154 than 140. Khan's welterweight debut against Ortiz? No way, that would be a stupid move.
He should fight Josesito first at 147 and see how he feels.
Now this is a risky fight.
true. both guys are desperate. khan IMO, has more to gain by winning but Victor, IMO can't afford to lose after the Mayweather debacle and then losing to Lopez.
Now this is a risky fight.
khan will fight anybody at any time. dude's an animal. he's had my respect in that regard since the maidana fight.
this should be an awesome fight. khan's handspeed will win him the rounds, but we'll see if he can get out of the way of wartiz' bombs.
you have no idea, it would be a great match up. both fighters are trying to reestablish their names. they have a lot of **** to prove, would be fight of the year.

ortiz by way of awesome KO. khan will frustrate ortiz where ortiz will throw caution to the wind, since khans punches wont hurt him in the least, and just come in like a beast swinging for the fences, and well, we know what after that...
If Khan can frustrate him, Ortiz will fold faster then an old garden chair, but I think Ortiz will KHTFO because Khan gets too aggressive and leaves himself ready to eat shots
i'm guessing ortiz will comeback down due to his recent losses
i doubt it. he's huge and he's not getting any younger. wasn't he 165 against mayweather?
they'd even fight hiim above 140 for a tune up when he was campaigning there
Ortiz quits because a cut hurts too much, as Khan takes an 8 count on the floor. First draw like this in history.

A fighter who has knocked down 33 of his 35 opponents vs a guy who has been knocked down 35 times. Okay, i'd stick with Josesito Lopez who's still a dangerous pick. If it's at 140, then he'd be weightdrained and Khan would have nothing to worry about.
Do you think he will be drained? He looked flabby at both weights and from memory, didn't touch the top limit. Lopez is a skinny guy.
