I'm late, but the Ghost rather impressive vs Berto no?

not even 5 months later and the Ghost win means nothing while now a Canelo win means everything? Sounds like you're not to keen on sarcasm are ya?? You fail son.

I found myself really surprised last night watching how he muscled through Berto. I always thought he'd be a weak welterweight. But he seemed strong as an ox. With that said I actually wouldn't mind seeing him & Floyd fight now. I actually think that he's a far better opponent than ginger atm. not even 5 months later and the Ghost win means nothing while now a Canelo win means everything?

The only thing that I didn't like about it was that Guerrero was getting hit by some huge shots on the inside. He has a good chin. Even though he did well and out muscled Berto on the inside, Guerrero fought better from the outside. I know that Guerrero's plan was to stay on the inside because they wanted to avoid Berto from extending his arms and catching Guerrero with power punches but I find that Guerrero was getting hit more than he needed to on the inside. From my side, I need to see more fights at WW for Guerrero as he looked very average in his first one at WW. I'm sure ring rust plus being his first fight at WW contributed to that. Remember that Berto has lost to Ortiz and has been always maligned for having a week resume prior to the Ortiz fight. Plus, probably for the first time, this was a PEDs free version of Berto.

It's a good win considering this dude is coming up from the lower weight classes. He is looking good, so far. However, I don't know if it merits a Mayweather fight. But, at the same time these dudes are fighting tough opposition with the hope of securing some kind of money fight with the big dudes. Nevermind, though. He almost knocked Berto out in the last round. That's good enough for me. Bring on Mayweather.

Not a fan of all the mauling and blatant fouls but he did show grit and toughness If he was just holding, i'd surely agree. But the Ghost was throwing punches constantly imo.

He tried roughing up Salido so yeah he has. Regardless of not caring, he still could have taken less punches. He did nothing to deflect or even partially block those uppercuts, it was scary sometimes how hard Berto landed. I think eventually you have to care about your own safety. I don't think Williams or Pacquiao thought they could get KOd with a single punch but it can happen specially being careless. The thing is it's obvious to me that Berto didn't land hard enough to really bother him is the point I'm getting at. The Ghost took Berto's power & seemed to not give a hoot as he walked him down, backed him up, smothered him & straight draped him up something fierce.

Is that right?? Because frankly I thought he simply had no care for the uppercut which is why he fought like he did. I thought Guererro would win, only way I saw him losing was if Berto landed a good shot and hurt him. But, I expected him to outbox him from the outside. Never did I think he would bully him on the inside and beat him up and push and shove him against the ropes and rip in body shots. I was very surprised by that. Round about the 8th and 9th round I was screaming at my Television for him to box, I was getting worried Berto would land something that badly hurt him. Guererro showed another side of his game. His inside fighting and aggressiveness was impressive. He's a versatile fighter.

I agree. Guererro has had a very impressive year and I personally wouldn't mind the Guererro fight at all for Mayweather and in my mind, I'd prefer to to Mayweather-Canelo. Guererro has earned it. In the mean time, Canelo can earn his fight with Mayweather by fighting Trout on May 4th and the winner can fight Mayweather in September. Perfect. I agree 100%!

knockdown was kind of dirty though whole fight was really still props to Robert Guerrero for winning but that fight needs a rematch I know you hate Berto and all but don't let the hate blind you I don't even know what fights some people watch on this site. At no point did Guerrero look like he would get stopped, and Berto was gassed because Guerrero was kicking his ass. he gave berto an old fashioned ass whippin. Yeah Phenom, I saw the fight Dunn & Jangles saw. The Ghost imposing himself on Berto all night. Did Berto land?? You betcha, but they had almost no effect on the Ghost.

Lol, yea that's the problem with this sport. Running out of gas robs so many guys of victory. So does getting punched. And being outclassed too. It's bull**** and the ref should let a guy catch his breath and catch up on punches so we can see what would have happened, had he not gassed. lol like lol

I was thoroughly impressed with his heart, determination, and chin. I didnt particularly care for the style but it got the job done.

Ghost dominated the fight? did you even watch the fight Guerrero was hurt bad a couple of times with uppercuts problem was Berto was gassed out had he followed through he would have stopped him I don't even know what fights some people watch on this site. At no point did Guerrero look like he would get stopped, and Berto was gassed because Guerrero was kicking his ass.
