Should Abril-Broner Be For The Ring Championship

No. April is #5. He needs to beat #2 Miguel Vazquez to be the Ring Champion. The rules have changed.....

If the contenders worthy. I dont have a problem with it in this circumstance. Broners already number 1 and this would be his second win against a top 5 guy. Plus his earlier victory was against the best LW out there. Broner shouldnt be punished especially since his camp tried to make the Vasquez fight. Abril is a worthy contender and worthy of wearing the belt if he wins. Nobody knows how true that is.....

I think the rule would have worked if they did top 3 instead of top 5. Like Salido vs. Garcia is a 1/3 matchup but Chris John babysits the #2 spot and he never going to leave his country.

Honestly, imthink the top 4 lightweights are Broner, burns, Vasquez and abril. Broner appears to be the best but he doesn't have the best resume at the weight. The picture is to cloudy among those 4 fighters for me to say any one fight between them should be for the ring. This. Broner/Abril and Burns/Vasquez, winners fight each other for the Ring title. If it were only this easy.
