Over Manny Pacquiao, Wladimir Klitschko, NONITO DONAIRE(this one is the most egregious IMO), and Timothy Bradley.
Number 5?????? For beating Antonio DeMarco?
:pat:
And why didn't they put him on the list the week he actually had a fight, why did they wait until now? The HIGHEST I can see him at is #9 and even that would be too high IMO. Abner Mares isn't even on the frickin' list. Who is running this thing?
Being biased here but Brian Viloria should at least be #10.
I agree, I thought Viloria should've been in the top ten.
Apparently, now the pound for pound ratings will just be to Chuck Giampa's discretion, though I'm told our input will be considered as normal in the regular divisional ratings. I think nothing of the whole pound-for-pound thing, but I think Giampa is utterly daft.

if you show up with enough unmarked money in a suitcase they'll almost certainly do whatever you want with their magazine
Bingo. :boxing:
Ponce? Most people thought he lost that fight.
I thought it was a draw. The early rounds were Ponce's, the middle were Broner's, and late neither guy really separated himself.
Before the DeMarco fight, there were loads of people saying Broner would be exposed by a southpaw who's got height on him and that Broner wasn't really that good. He destroyed him, and now we still have people saying Broner doesn't have a good win yet.
Broner shouldn't be Top 10 though, he should have to get at least a couple more good wins before getting into the Top 10.
Broner doesn't deserve to be in the Top 10, but I already see people forgetting he completely whupped DeMarco, the #1 LW at the time. He shouldn't be in the Top 10, but he has a couple good wins over DeMarco and Ponce.
DeMarco was a decent fighter though, nothing more. Broner has a lot of skills, but we don't know how good they are until he puts them on display against an actual top fighter. As has been mentioned, Berto was looking like a superstar at that level.
As for the Ponce 'win', that was a pretty clear loss in truth.

P4P who you "think" has the best skills, not who you've beat. Broner deserves top ten.
If Broner belongs there, why don't we put Canelo Alvarez in at #6 or Peter Quillin at #7? Oh yeah, because in order to be considered one of the best you actually have to beat someone who's worth a damn. How can we really know if Broner is one of the ten best fighters if he hasn't gotten a big win? Berto was looking really dominant against tomato cans until he started facing the A-level opposition, did he deserve a spot there too?
p4p lists don't judge accomplishments, they judge FORM. Current form. That's why people drop when they lose and go up when they win. And Broner is one of the best if not the best young fighter coming up. So it's ok for me he makes #5.
Sorry, I just looked at your post history. Carry on arse-licking.
