She was also the only judge who had the Rios/Abril fight right. I guess she was sitting in a bad spot or something. Can't wrap my head around this one.
The vision problems occured after the first fight, not during. Kessler was physically 100% in this fight.
Froch has improved but Kessler has declined.
Correct, watching it live I thought the ref was about to wave it off but I rewatched the fight today and it's clear he was doing it because of the low blow, Kessler did a better job dodging shots in the last 20 seconds than I gave him credit for saturday night.
According to Kessler and his team and fans, the eye problems were there prior to the Froch fight.
shes the same blind bat who had cotto only winning one round against trout smh

I see a lot of people saying "Kessler is old anyway" "He's shot" etc.
I thought Kessler was going to better this time now he doesn't have double vision? Or has that disappeared?
People act like Froch now hasn't clearly improved and a better fighter since 2010 in regards to their first fight.

The ref wanted to warn Froch for a low blow, but didn't want to stop Froch's momentum.

Carl Froch was so open for overhand rights everytime he steps in with jabs. That overhand right counter over Carl's jab was there all night for Kessler yet he barely threw it.
Not so sure on this one...
Froch's long jab is actually his best shot -- even if he didn't seem to be fully aware of that... When one tries to throw a right overfand punch he's likely to get Froch's right uppercut (his favorite punch)...
It was precisely this long jab Ward did not like in the first 4 rounds against Froch -- then Ward was so smart and glued himself onto Froch's chest, in order to perform his famous fake "old school inside boxing"...
I thought Kessler looked pretty dangerous once he had worked past the jab, the jab being the major difference in this fight.
This is the only tune I was repeating over and over, since they put this fight together: "Froch should be smart and stay behind his long jab; but Carl will not resist the temptation of a slugfest"... And he didn't resist...
After watching this fight, I think Froch would be the fighter to finally make Bhop look his age and possibly make him retire.
B-Hop (like his "protégé", Ward) is an actual nightmare of the sport -- now he sticks on your chest, now he's slipping, now he vanishes... Grandpa is a monster trickster...

I noticed a lot of people that have it 115 - 113 for Froch, gave him the last round. I gave it to Kessler, although I've marked it as a close round - going off the top of my head, he landed the better shots despite Froch's persistence. He blocked several shots and manoeuvred out of the way of more. I avoided scoring even rounds too.

Well put. Id rather that too. Like i said though id watch a third if made because u know its gonna be good action. I feel as though Froch would stop Mikkel if they have a rubber match though and that would be doing a disservice to Kessler who i doubt will be the same again.
My thinking is exactly as yours. Froch's standing has rightly rocketed in recent years and now encompasses the varied levels of casual boxing fans in England.
The respect that Kessler would have gained last night and in the previous fight in the eyes of those fans will be similar to the respect he deservedly gets from those who perhaps know a bit more about the sport.
I wouldn't want to see that jeopardised by a third fight. The whole event last night and what the fighters brought to the ring was a credit to the sport.
Personally I wouldn't like to see them fight again.
Their names are always going to be linked together after what they've given in those two fights.
I've got the kind of respect for these two men that one a piece is where I'd like to see them leave it. I think that's fitting.
Agree completely.

First time I've ever scored a draw for a fight where I feel there was a clear winner in Froch, but I guess it's what you're looking for. Kessler landed over 50% of his jabs & power shots and probably the better shots too.
I had it 6-2 to Froch going into the 9th, then of the 4 last rounds that Kessler won two were close. I also had Froch winning the 5th but put a line through it and changed it to Kessler, even still it was marked as a close round.
I'm going to re-watch the fighter later on and score again. I only scored 3 clear rounds for Kessler.
I don't know how you give the last round to Kessler. Froch had him ready to go. I had it where I could see Kessler deserving it if he took the last 2 rounds, and Froch closed it out with a bang to seal the victory.
Personally I wouldn't like to see them fight again.

Well as I said I felt Froch won. Now it's 1-1 between the 2.
One of those fights where froch had to win really, just to set up number 3
this needs a trilogy, these two deserve a classic trilogy
Problem is I think Kessler knows Froch is that little bit better and I feel like that fight will have taken something from Mikkel as their first bout did. Froch seems to thrive on fights like that though!
Kessler has definitely earned the right to a rubber match and id watch if it got made but I cant see it myself
I dont think a rubber is necessary, and even if it did happen it wouldn't really tell the proper story of the better fighter.
It'd be a bit like Pac/Morales. Morales won the first in his last good fight, then looked shot in his next go around, before losing the 3rd even worse. Now obviously Kessler isn't in as bad shape as Morales was, but Froch is still in his peak while Kessler was showing very clear signs of decay and a 3rd fight would just make him look even worse.
I had it 114 - 114 a draw, but 6 close rounds that could've gone either way.
It's pretty similar to their last fight, a close but clear decision win, but having Kessler winning or drawing this one isn't right. Froch was the winner and better fighter at this time in their careers.
Yeah.....I agree, but then again, with a little more luck, Kessler could have stopped the match in 11th round.
It could be interesting with #III in Germany or something ;o) if Mikkel and Carl wants it.

Seriously?
Come on,you are a great poster don't fall into fanboy shit,Froch clearly won,you could make an argument for 7-5 (like you could in the first fight, which you kept banging on about) but thats it,the better man won on the night, both guys are warriors, its thats simple
I'm just telling it like I scored it. I am not totally sure, but I think I had round 1-3 for Froch, 4-6 for Kessler, 7-8 for Froch, 9 Kessler, 10 Froch, 11 Kessler and 12 Froch.
Shiiiittt. That's 115-113 for Froch! Oh well. I'm not absolutely sure of my score in round 7-8.
Well as I said I felt Froch won. Now it's 1-1 between the 2.
Kessler always want to be in "perfect" position when he fights.
As he has slowed down, he is looking more awkward and shaky when he tries to regain his position.
Look at him doing the same thing in his prime:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OT5_mKx4S-s&t=13m11s
Your 100% right! Kessler looked like a worn dog in there. He slowed down just enough to make Froch look like the machine that he is anyway but much respect to Kessler for refusing to go out like "Lucian Booty."
One of the commentators mentioned that Kessler looked like an old 34 and Froch looked like a fresh 35 and they were right but Kessler had almost 30 pro fights by the time Froch turned pro.
