I mean i can pretend to join in with everyone else and claim to not want to see the fight partly due to Pacquiao losing two on the bounce(and not looking anywhere near his best for about 4 or 5 fights now) and partly due to sulking that we didn't get the fight 3/4 years ago when it should have been made but i'd be lying if i said deep down i still don't want to see it.
Would i have preferred it to happen 3 or 4 years ago? Of course i would have but for whatever reasons it didn't happen. It didn't happen when it should have happened and that will always be one of the biggest tragedies in Boxing, like many other fights that didn't happen or happened too late. But is it a fight still worth making? IMO yes it is.
Im past the point of caring if it happens. I dont give a flying **** if it doesn't happen now after a good few years of wanting it desperately. If it happens i'll most certainly buy it though.
Styles make fights. No one's saying they expect Pacquiao to beat Mayweather. Mayweather would rightfully be the heavy favourite. I still think it's a fight worth making.
I would watch it but I have never been overly interested in it. The only reason I had some moderate interest in it was in hope people would stop going on about the fight.
As far as I am concerned Floyd would beat the fcuk out of Manny but there are too many obstacles in the way and Floyd is a cherry-picker whose whole money gimmick got tiresome 4 years back.
Personally i still think it would break the PPV record.
It's still Mayweather vs Pacquiao at the end of the day. The fight the world has wanted for the last 4 years.
Nah, the world wanted that fight very much 2 or 3 years ago, since then the interest has started to fade.
LOL. I for one couldn't care less if Pacman gets brutalized for 12 rounds in every fight. I just detest ducks and inactive fighters. They don't belong in any contact sport.
BTW, the Pacman lost to a man with huge balls. Your idol has none. Hehe...
i gotta say, hats off to manny pacquaio...dude is a fighter's fighter...dude kept a highly active schedule, and kept rematching a fighter, who clearly, had his number...i can respect that...
floyd mayweather jr., eh, all the talent in the world, but too selective of a fight schedule that recently has been all about, sitting back and watching all the best talent from his era @ jr. ww, and ww, blast each other out, then make a fight with 'em while demanding the world...
Mayweather is not prime anymore, Pacquiao is not prime anymore. Mayweather is still the superior fighter of the two because he always was. There was never a point where Pacquiao was better. Ever. Mayweather has been one of the very best top 10 fighters of this sport for 14 years. Pacquiao was never in the same league as Mayweather.
I would like to see it!
For Floyd it would mean he finally put the nail in the coffin and resume wise he would gain a lot although Pac is not in prime he is still the younger among them.
For Pac it would be the only opportunity to completely redeem himself and get the status he had 3-4 years ago.
You sour grape loser lol , butt hurt because Manny got exposed as a hype job by the guy Floyd schooled , and Floyd was lighter than Pac LOL .

Who wants to see a fight where there is a reluctant fighter in it. I'd rather see Dancing with the Stars.

Its funny to see that After that epic KO no one wants to see the floyd vs pacman fight. i sure would pay to see the fight. i feel that arum wants a 5th fight with Marquez be cause he know that he and Manny just lost all of their bargaining points against Mayweather it will be hard for them to as for a 30/70 slit of the money due to his 2 resent losses. second the same kind of punch that KO pacman is the same kind that mayweather is able to hit all night long.
I feel that pacman will not recover from that kind of KO. ( he must be asking why did GOD allow this KO to happen)
The only way Pac/Mayweather will go back to being on equal footing is if Mayweather gets blasted in his next fight.
Exactly that.
I would rather see the fight then not see it even though its stale and way past its sell by date. If Mayweather wins it's never going to mean as much as it could have meant during it's peak, but sign me up, i'll still tune in.
Floyd would get no credit for schooling Pac now , why not fight the new super Juan and Bradley and then people will truly see the difference in class between Floyd and the WW hype job Manny , because Floyd will own both Bradley and JMM again , the only challenge Floyd has is when handicapped against bigger fighters at their healthy weight , Floyd is a class about the WW division .
I thought it was a mismatch before and I still do. No point in seeing it now. I would have loved to see it a few years ago when both fighters were in their primes, but they arent even close anymore. That fight could have meant so much to the sport.
I don't necessarily think that's the case.
Biggest PPV fights were Mayweather/De La Hoya and Lewis/Tyson.
Both fights were long overdue and De La Hoya and Tyson were past prime.
Surely not the same Mike Tyson that was brutally KO'd by Douglas and Holyfield?
It can't be true according to BScene logic.
Fight means absolutely nothing now and if it were to happen it would not crack the 2 mullion ppv mark. It lost the luster and they both lost million and millions of dollars.
