props to JMM and mexico for finally conquering the mexicutioner after all these years...but who else needs to find out he was clean before he gets full credit??
true, but people ignore the 3rd rd KD, pacquiao was seriously hurt
whether steroids or not, marquez was punching much, MUCH harder than he ever has
and that's why whoever he fights next im pumped, my god, rios would get ****ed
He wasn't punching harder at all. He caught Pacquiao cleaner than ever. That is it. Game over.
The only other perfectly placed shot that he landed was a left hook, in the second fight, that wobbled Pacquiao too. However, he was reaching even with that punch. If it had been a little shorter, or Pac a little closer, he would have gone down or been out just the same as today. Pacquiao was simply more open in this fight because he was desperate for a knock out and thought Marquez was ready to go. He walked in with no defense and ran into a typical Marquez right hand counter.
Marquez has always had excellent one punch KO power. Just because you've only seen his biggest fights doesn't mean they aren't there. Marquez and Pac have a nearly identical record in every way. Same amount of fights, same amount of losses nearly, but Pacquiao has more losses by KO (3 of his 5 losses are by KO) and Marquez has more KOs in the same amount of fights as Pacquiao with a resulting higher KO %.
The fact is that if you walk face first into a perfect counter shot with a guy that has great power, while moving your entire body and weight into it, without thinking anything at all is coming back, it's very likely that you are going to get put out cold.
When had Sergio Martinez ever showed the power that he knocked out Williams with? Never. But because of the way it got set up and the way Williams came in, he got the KO. Perfectly timed counter shot. When had Pacquiao ever shown enough power to get a one punch KO over Hatton? He hadn't either, but Hatton moved in face first, arms down straight into a perfectly timed counter.
Stop reaching pal. You'll end up like Pac. There is nothing to ***** and moan about, though you'll clearly do it anyway, because it had nothing to do with Marquez showing more power, or looking better than ever (he looked worse than ever to me. Slower, older, tighter etc). Just because he started working out with weights properly for the first time in his career ever, for the last two years, had nothing to do with him landing a perfectly timed counter right hand, or the fact that Pac came in face first not expecting anything back cause he thought Marquez was about to get knocked out himself. That's boxing you douchebag. Stop crying about stuff that if it were on the other foot you'd be praising. If Marquez had been stopped with one punch, would you be questioning PEDs? Marquez has never been stopped before. Pacquiao has twice. Pac has less KOs than Marquez and hasn't been able to produce a one punch KO, or a real KO at all, for many years. Would you questioned it? No, of course not.
Quit being such a little girl about it.
Did you not watch the fight?
Marquez didn't win by banging him out of there.
It was the timing and placement of the punch that did it.
The first KD in the 3rd was as hard a punch (if not harder).
In all seriousness I don't think people realise the limitation of the human body. When you look at a fight pay more attention to how a fighter takes a punch, if it lands flush they are still moving away from the punch or in a range where the full force is diminished.
When a fighter gets caught walking into a full weight punch it is usually lights out look at Graham, Williams, Hatton and now Pacquiao.
It is also why guys like Hopkins, Mayweather, Toney ect are so hard to knock out because they keep their chin tucked at all times.
You look at williams, hatton and jones one punch KO's and their chins not tucked. Jones and williams never seen it coming. You look at the mosley shot landed on mayweather and mayweathers chin was tucked and during the slow motion replay you can see he saw the punch when it was about a few inches from his face. not enough time to move but it helps a lot because the neck muscles brace for it.
This fight didn't have random drug testing. That's all you really need to know at the sudden power JMM had tonight.
JMM offered to do it, as long as Manny did it too. But Bob Arum was against it.
what does this have to do with taking steroids? marquez did what he's done always
but since when has he had one punch ko power? :browraise:
dont give me the perfect shot bullsht when he's landed plenty of perfect shots before, only difference is this time he landed at all he hurt pacquiao, it's just suspcious, let people talk
f*ggot
he koed that colombian guy, and people called it a dive

Marquez has undoubtedly gained muscle mass and added power over the past two years. With his work ethic it's entirely possible without steroids. If it were over a sixth month period I'd be having questions.

JMM has conte in his corner the same guy who said commission tests are worthless.
JMM looks like superman at 39 and has this KO power at 147 more so than he did 15 years earlier at 126..... but its ok we will "let the commission do their job". Manny's camp declined advanced testing for this fight.
Go back and review his career - You'll find plenty of KOs coming from similarly timed, perfectly placed shots. Infact, he has more KOs than Pacquiao does in nearly as many fights, so there goes your argument.
Your post will be reported and you will be banned for staff bashing for insulting a moderator without any provocation. Good riddance, d*ckwad.
lmfao little b*tch, so you can dish the name calling but you can't take it, yea, go running with your tail between your legs, go on now boy

That's the thing about counter punchers, you have to be very careful, the most dangerous hits are the ones that you don't see coming.
