um he doesnt work that hard in the gym...otherwise he wouldnt look like the pillsbury doughboy but hes still leaps and bounds above the fraud jcc jr
That has more to do with dieting. Juan Diaz looked like the pillsbury doughboy and he was a hard worker with great conditioning.
I see Rios as the next Margarito. He's not even remotely close to even being like Chavez Jr, let alone Sr.
I respect Rios a lot more than Chavez Jr, he fights guys his own size and works hard in the gym as well as in the ring.
i guess Rios does OK with turning his head at the last second and takes a little off the shot and it looks like hes taking everything flush. I cant remember a guy who get his head snapped back so rough and often as him and after seeing him in person for the first time against Alvarado, I think some of the reason why that happens is because hes turn his head with some of the shots. maybe not a great comparison, but kinda like what Zaragoza used to do when he was older. Obviously he's still takes a ton of other flush punches and doesn't resemble SR in slipping shots, but sometimes when he gets hit it looks worse than it really is.
Im sorry rios your fun to watch but i accept you for what you are a brawler who should never be mentioned in the same breath as jcc sr in terms of skill levels.
Looks like bam bam lost the last 6 brain cells he had left..chavez snr was a master of boxing..rios has a good chin and lots of heart but he better stop dreaming.
last time i checked, chavez sr was NOT a no skill, flat footed, bent up tomato can who can do nothing that resembles boxing. what will it take for this kid to realize he is trash and the only reason he is anywhere is because he is with arum and because he has a big mouth.
he should be slapped in the face and kicked out of the gym for comparin himself and chavez sr in the same sentence. what a disgraceful piece of shit joke
i have to agree, rios hasn't done shit and is no where close to chavez, sr.
sorry Bam Bam but Canelo falls into this category.... for now..
Based on what? While Rios certainly is no Chavez Sr (he has a lot in common with Chavez Jr), with Canelos reluctance to fight quality opposition he's no more fit to wear Chavez Srs shoes than Rios
Dude's gonna get whooped soon.:spank:
He just did. Abril clowned this douche. He's fun to watch but, just like Maidana, the hype greatly exceeds the talent.
thats fine and I respect that. IMO, he is not exciting to watch, he is a human punching bag that comes forward with his disgusting wide looping punches hoping they land. he has no skills, no defense, no footwork, the only thing he is good at is bravado, which makes fighters fight his fight. when he gets in with a fighter with some form of discipline, he is going bye bye. i truly think he is one of the worst "champions" boxing has to offer. in my eyes he is an absolute disgrace, and yes I am a hater!
Man, for every Hopkins Ward or Mayweather you need a guy like Rios that can draw in casual fans with his style, a warrior who'll give anybody a hard night! and whatever you think about the guy I can guarantee you he'll beat the guy you've got in your sig if they're matched up!
