I watched the telecast with Hopkins and some other dude talking , it was like they wasnt watching what was happening .
And its a shut out when Cotto needs a KO to win , not shut out as dont win a round , shut out as in clearly beaten .
I thought the fight was sufficiently close, though i did give it to Trout, that being at home, in MSG, Cotto could get the nod, amongst some controversy of course. Especially with the Canelo date looming for Cotto and the money that would be involved in that.
But... I didn't factor in Haymon. A mistake, I admit.
That was done after the first Margarito fight you blind fool!!! There was a reason an opportunist like Mayweather fought him at the time.
What is it with these piss ant haters , you are so infatuated with Floyd nothing else is on your mind , grow the fck up .
Boxing really is somethin' else man...
One day you see a rising prospect climb up the ranks, become a star, but inevitably you will see their end. Cotto's taken L's to the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao (which is nothing to be ashamed of), but I truly think we're seeing the beginning of the end of Miguel Cotto.
Only one talking up up Cotto was Malignaggi, who doesn't really have reason to seeing Cotto beat the stuffing out of him in their match. Paulie is a straight shooter in the broadcasting business, though.
Farhood and the other guy were favoring Trout, primarily. And Kenny is a disgrace. His job in these broadcasts seems to be supporting the official decision to promote continuity of the broadcast. Whereas before he was more like boxing's shock jock, back when he used to ride Mayweather so hard. What a sellout Kenny is.
Anyway, this was not a shut out. Cotto was landing flush hooks and right hands to trouts head that made his neck bend like rubber, and he was landing thudding body shots. He made Trout look very uncomfortable in several rounds. Cotto shot himself in the foot going on the backfoot as much as he did, which resulted in his loss. That **** is infuriating when he does that.

You got no idea that was a shut out , while the commentators was talking Cotto up Trout was boxing his ears off , just wow a draw WTF .

had it a draw. Surprised so many people had trout winning by a wide margin. Cotto marks easily now but trout was missing a hell of a lot, I have him round 1, and the last 5 rounds.

No chance in hell this was a draw. I can't see Cotto getting more than four rounds.
I had it 8-4 the first for Trout and 10-2 the second time. This wasn't a close fight, not by a long shot.
nah. Paulie was right. Trout was getting credit for shots Cotto blocked or slipped much of the time. Farhood was hating hard, and Trout has been chosen as the next heir apparent, Al Haymon fighter and all. Bottom line, Cotto wasn't getting credit for all his body shots he landed. I think Cotto shouldn't have started bouncing around and trying to box going backwards like he did against Pac and Marg, he was having better success in trying to trap Trout on the ropes.
It was a messy, close fight. I was thinking as it went into the 12th, whoever wins this round wins the fight. Imo it was a round for Trout, thought not by so much as Farhood and co. would have us believe. But I don't have a problem with Trout getting the nod. I do think its disgusting how wide the scores were, and how a majority of boxing fans are swallowing that tripe as good scoring.
weak minds...

I had it 8-4, I thought Trout took over after about the 3rd or so round. It wasn't a close fight, sorry but it wasn't.
i had it 8-4 as well. i guess cotto just can't stand losing. at first, i thought he walked away cause he disagreed with how wide the scorecards were, like he knew he lost, but he didn't think he lost by that much.
cotto has always been classsy (unlike the mayweather bro's who are dogsh1ts when it comes to class) but he got schooled tonight...i scored it 9-3 in favor of trout and thats being generous to miguel...
