KELL BROOK has vowed to retire if he loses to Hector Saldivia at the weekend.
Unbeaten Brook faces the Argentinian in an IBF welterweight title eliminator in his hometown of Sheffield knowing victory will keep him on track to face Amir Khan next year.
But Brook, 26, admits it will be curtains for his career if he is defeated.

Uh no he fought Casamayor. Bradley fans like to pretend that fight didn't happen. I dont blame you tbh
I'm by no stretch, a Bradley fan. Don't get it twisted.......and like I said, he fought Pacquiao (had it 8-4 for Pac (at worst 7-5)). Casamayor was a stay-busy fight.
Kell Brook struggled way too much with Carson Jones for me to believe he's going to be a force, but I still like his skills and he's still a good fighter in my book. I'd like to see him fight a Zaveck or Aydin after Salidivia early next year. Than, go for Malignaggi, Maidana, Hatton, etc. He's not ready for someone like Bradley, Alexander, Berto/Guerrero winner in my book.
Don't see wiggling out of your promotional contract as a duck. Then, he fights Pacquaio (who is head, shoulders & feet better than Khan). Help me understand.....

Huh? Khan has great attitude. Even after his losses he did not get down on himself and was always positive about his future.
I don't like that attitude aswell. It makes me question kell's mindset.
Khan is not positive: he's delusional, plain & simple. And Jones may have taken Brook's heart with him......
A lesser fighter than who? Bradley? The only way to prove that is in the ring and Bradley was too pusssy to find out.

I doubt it was him personally that turned down the fight, hes got a huge promotional team behind him and theyre relying on him to make them huge money on future Pay per view events in the UK.How is he gonna do that if he gets his arse handed to him by Bradley, hell be right at the back of the que again.Going the IBF route is the safest bet for him,Kell Brook is not just a fighter hes an investment and a lot of people are counting on him to make them a lot of money.I think people like yourself dont seem to realize that boxing is a business first and fore most and these guys are looking at the big picture not the here and now.
Au contraire, I know what boxing is and what it has become. This "business" wasn't like this before. Fights were made that should have been made - now everyone brings up the "business" excuse. Back in the day, cats fought once a month, sometimes 2x/month & didn't get a title shot till they had about 40-50 fights. These cats nowadays fight 1-3 times a year, meanwhile time isn't on anyone's side and are coddled. You get a title shot, TAKE IT. He would be fighting for the title the man who (on paper) beat Pacquaio and if he wins, his stock goes up. If he loses, he lost to the champion (from which he can still regroup from). If he loses to Saldivia, not only he does not get the title shot, he starts from square one (and that's why he's mulling retirement because he knows he can't go through that again). Not bright. People like you don't seem to realize that there is no sure thing boxing and that you can still make money by making and winning good fights and if the opportunity comes, you TAKE IT. And for the record, I hope Saldivia sends Brook into retirement.
Extremely talented, but a complete MENTAL MIDGET. He's already thinking about the end of his career.
The pressure will be on for him to win spectacularly. That fight with Carson Jones, he almost lost to a journey man. He gassed out in the 2nd half of the fight and almost got finished.
Now, he's questioning himself whether he has it or not. And if he's doing that, then he should quit - RIGHT NOW. Don't even fight Saldivia....

Try boxing for six rounds with a busted nose, you might just gas out too.
He makes perfect sense to me. That Jones fight was hell for Brooks and if he wins like that again, he might as well quit. No disrespect, maybe he had a bad night, but if that is the true, best level of his abilities and the little known Saldivia gives him a fight, a championship may be out of his reach. He's being realistic beyond anything Khan has said until recently, though it sounds like self doubt, it's more like a self examination. I prefer this to the cliches like "I'm going to knock the bum out" or "he never faced anyone like me". This is a real guy with real concerns and he's looking for answers.

Anyone who is A) already mentioning the possibility of a loss and B) willing to actually quit after ONE LOSS shows they no longer belong in the game of Boxing! Losing is what makes a fighter learn what they need to work on and grow. He is acting WAY too fragile with talk like this!
I thought I was the only one, LOL. He should retire based on the fact he turned a title shot w/Bradley for an ELIMINATOR, with Saldivia. Idiot.....

so fighting pac over amir khan is a duck?..... on top of that khan has proven to be a lesser fighter.

Well Bradley has a history of pusssying out after calling people out so....
Ive already explicitly stated the reasons. And your response is that hes a young up and comer....? I don't get it.

This. And Brook is way too young to be saying **** like this. Reminds me of Khan a bit actually.

I still have a lot of faith in Kell. The fight against Jones could be the making of him, he has always had the talent and if his attitude and dedication can match that, he will definitely be a world champion.
how could bradley ***** out? they offered him a fight already... hes a young up and comer. there is no excuse for not taking a bradley fight.

Simple facts. If you have no legit response then you might as well have my sac in your mouth.
