I keep hearing posters talk about this guy like he has beaten world beaters...dude hasnt done anything worth mentioning yet and people are overrating the hell out of him
But who is he fighting??the local peanut vendor?
:lol1: :lol1: LMAO
dude got power and has a solid skillset to go with it....a dangerous fight for any MW imo
He just moved up and beat the sh1t out of the #1 lightweight........name me 1 top 10 fighter this GGG dude has defeated
Lightweight is a weak division, skillwise Proksa is much better than Demarco.
Sameas broner. Who has he beat to be hyped up like he is now?

get your point but I have liked what I've seen from GGG. Maybe he hasn't beaten a top 10 p4p fighter yet, but he has shown good power and smart, controlled agression and the ability to execute the gameplan on his opponent.
I don't know how anyone who has seen him fight isn't impressed. and, keep in mind, GGG hasn't beaten anyone because "anyone" wont fight him.
he says he's willing to fight anyone from 154-168...so far no one is biting (i wonder why). sergio's team/dibella flat out said 'no' to him. if you can't see how much of a beast golovkin is then i don't know what to say. he has a good chin, huge punching power in both hands, good boxing ability, applies good pressure, has shown good stamina and heart, etc...the potential of beocming one of the best is definitely there, but it's all a matter of finding guys who are willing to get in the ring with him.
There's no reason to wonder. Golovkin is still making a name for himself. Of course Martinez said no. Martinez has already worked his ass off to get to where he is; now he wants to fight bigger names (after he puts on a show in Argentina anyway).
Give it some time. If Golovkin continues to win and make a name for himself, Martinez will fight him.
he's hyped beause NSB wants to use him as a way to bash other fighters who are prominently hyped at nsb or in boxing in general.
Floyd was hyped now lets use Pacquiao or anybody close to his universe to bash him...

Donaire was hyped now lets use Rigondeaux or anybody close to his universe to hype him...
Sergio was hyped now lets use ________ to bash him.
Its a vicious cycle in today's social media age were everybody's thoughts and opinions can be published anytime they want and every notable fighter or athlete will go through this for the rest of the ineternet's existence.

some people can tell a guy is good by watching him fight, they can tell a guy is gonna be the man when he is still on the way up. Other people only realize a guy is good after long after he has made it.
anyway saying he is overhyped is nonsense fact is he is among the top 2 or 3 middleweights in the world but most casual fans haven't even heard of him. compare that to chavez jnr and say who is overhyped
I'm not one of those who thinks he would beat Martinez quite yet, but I think the love for him is more about his abilities and potential then who he's beaten. Clearly his resume has a lot of work to go before he can be considered an elite fighter, but he has all the ability to get there and aside from Martinez who at 160 is clearly a better fighter?
He's a genuine beast but unfortunately his fanbase has been hijacked by straight nuthuggers.
I think this is the closest to reality, Some straight up bandwagon nuthuggers jumpers have hijacked this whole thing.
Definitely overhyped!!! This was the same sheet we got after Pirog KO Daniel Jacobs, People need to calm the Fvck down and judge a boxer after 4 or 5 good fights against rated and good opponents, It seems after one fight now you get anointed the best fighter ever and so so and so is ducking him..
Yeah, I think his aggressive and KO style is why he is so hyped up. It doesn't hurt to have all those amateur level accomplishments also. So the guy is bringing alot to the table in terms of skill, experience, and a crowd pleasing style. He hasn't really fought anyone yet and he looked good against Proska, but then again he was supposed to. better fights should come hopefully and then we will see what's what.

Upset because he called out Floyd?
-----"It's Crunch Time".
I was not impressed with his fight with Proska at all,he did not look like an elite world beater to me
sturm isn't the only one ducking golovkin - geale ist ducking him too now; I am convinced that geale will rather drop his belt than step in the ring with golovkin. or do you think chavez will ever fight him?
I don't blame martinez for not wanting to fight golovkin though - he has to make as much money as he can from the ~5 fights that he has left.
but you can hardly blame golovkin for being ducked, can you? it's not like he is cherrypicking his opponents - but if none of the top fights want to fight him, what can he do?
if you were golovkin, what would you do?
It amazes me how people hype up people who have done nothing and sh1t on accomplished fighters....amazing....dude hasnt defeated anyone worth mentioning yet he is ducked by everyone.....
How the hell can you talk this much sh** about Golovkin when you try so hard to hype up Alvarez?
