floyd beats trinidad at 147

yall all haters, trinidad wasnt a great boxer like everybody makes out to be. oscar schooled his assWhat did he school him on? How to run away? If Oscar was so superior why did he need to run the last 4 rounds and back up the whole fight? Lots of fans and experts thought Trinidad won that fight including the boxing writer for Oscar's home town paper, the L.A. Times. They just don't talk about it all the time because Tito got the win. Oscar wanted no part of Trinidad in a rematch. I did not read any posts saying Trinidad was a great boxer. Some said he was a very good boxer with KO power in both hands. To say Trinidad would win doesn't make someone a Mayweather hater. They are just giving you an honest answer to your question.

Trinidad could box as well as punch and he had a good left jab. He never lost a welterweight fight and he defended his welterweight tittle successfully 15 times beating many good boxers. The only welterweights he did not KO were Oscar, Whitaker, and Camacho and they were never KOed except Oscar by Hopkins. He only lost to three bigger men in his whole career, Hopkin, Winky Wright, and Jones. Floyd would have lost to those three fighters also.He was 10 times better than Corrales. He would KO Floyd in my opinion.

Given that Hopkins had such an easy time with Tito and Mayweather is more defensive I think Mayweather would have won but I doubt he would have ever taken the challenge..maybe after Hopkins I can see Mayweather accepting such a fight but not while Trinidad was reigning at Welter

This has been raised many times. Trinidad was very outboxable. However, Floyd would have to avoid that left hook like the plague. Floyd probably would have won but Trinidad definitely could have won by knockout. ^^^^^^ I agree. Plus Floyd would not be able to shoulder roll on the ropes all night or anywhere for that matter. He would have to apply some offense and movement or Tito would go on full offense attack and one might squeeze in there(lets not forget Titos high connect percentage) and all it would take is one. And vice versa I think Floyd plays it safe takes Tito right hand from him and just boxes him silly. Its truly a terrible style clash if people can set aside their hate for Floyd. Well Tito was a good boxer. Was he a better boxer then floyd no. Was he a better all around fighter then floyd at 147? I would go with yes. Does he have a better resume at 147? I would say yes. We all knock on tito because he is limited boxing wise but we only know that caus he face the best competition out there. When tito lost it wasnt at 147. He was a different fighter when he move up. I think it's a lot tougher of a fight for floyd than people realize. Tito was big at welterweight and packed a lot of power obviously. If Tito would jab and not just follow floyd around it would be a very hard fight for floyd. But if tito just stalked floyd w/o using the jab he could get outboxed. not really people realize it its just nsb has a strong concentration of floyd homers. dont forget how many young guys and newbs there are here.
