What's going on with Roy not being able to pronounce foreign names?
Mathebula = "Mattabulu", "Matabalo"
Marroquin = "Maraquin", "Mariquin"
Nishioka = "Nishi...Noish...whatever his name is"
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
As an announcer he should train himself to pronounce those names properly before the broadcast starts. It does provide comic relief during the fights though.
who gives a **** how to pronounce their names? It's not american and they're not american names so it's not as if they mean anything. They should just have names like hank jones or dick west instead of this mumbo-jumbo speak that makes no sense and doesn't deserve proper pronunciation. I'm american after all, and they're from small islands and stuff so they should learn american and give themselves proper names that actually mean something to us. Usa! Usa! :usa2::usa2:
:wt:
put a notha shrimp on the barbie mate!
do your dunnies really flush the opposite way?
or we can just let them box at home against bums for sh#t money :rofl:
I know! These foreigners in Japan aren't national heroes earning more over there for one fight than most over here for a couple of fights. Them Klickos, or Killchos or whatever don't bring in more audience and money in Germany than anyone today in our great country of USA.
Guys like Lucas Matthyse need to come over to the US of A to get any type of audience following. His last fight against an unbeaten top prospect only had an audience of just over 300 people!!! :rofl:
He needs to come to the boxing capital of the world! USA! **** yeeeeeeah! A crowd pleasing, skilled, hard punching guy like him would pull in tens of thousands and have massive numbers tuning in to his fights. He'd be a sensat...What? Sorry, what was that? Really? No, no, that can't be true. Not in the US of A. Impossible. His last fight was in the US of A. Only 300 people to a major world rated boxing match between two highly touted prospects/contenders? No, it must have been in that dirty foreign country of his where no one can afford tickets...you know? Argentia, Arnetiga, Tagentina, whatever the name is.

i cannot tell if you are being serious or not
roy jones has been knocked the hell out three times and stopped badly once more. he's been boxing at the top of the game (sometimes against less than top comp,) since the early / mid 90's.
it's the punches that he took to the head that give him these problems with his speech. as a boxer ages the damage he takes from the punches he receives as an amateur, in training, and as a pro stay with him.
Gus Johnson is a good American name. Hoesesito? That makes no sense! That's not a real name. He should have a real name. An American name. Imma call him Joe. Joe is a good American name. Joe Sesito. I keep hearing people say Hoe-sesito but, but that's just foreign mumbo jumbo speak so I'll just ignore that and give him a good American name. He's fighting on TV after all and is deserving of a good American name.

He's from the South. Lots of people from the South have trouble saying English words or names, let alone foreign names.
I remember Lou Holtz saying this Martinez' kids name like this: Mart-In-Ez.
man u internet warriors shouldnt be worryin wut the man do he make millions stop frontin
go troll somewhere else or get banned again this doesnt even make sense
He also says "Messican" instead of Mexican too. lol
I've always like Roy Jones Jr. He's a good commentator and does provide good insight to a fight, but he really does need to work on his pronunciation.

lmao i busted up when he did that. cmon Roy lol. but as long as he does his little chuckle, i forgive him
Agreed. These guys are supposed to be professionals.
Not as bad as Gus Johnson repeatedly saying Josesitio's name wrong with a hard J.
God I hate when he says "Joe-sesito". Roy can get away with it though, I don't mind.
