I never saw a wild thing
sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.

Pavlik lost a lot of respect simply due to pulling out of fights. Some was not his fault, with the staph infection, but he was also for a while very difficult and pulled out of fights on his own either by over pricing himself or having his personal issues.
That will drop your name down the list with your promoter and the networks quickly. It was not the personal issues outside the ring on their own. Once they start affecting your career and losing people money and time, well lets just say it will take some time to gain that trust back.
Lets see Pavlik-Chavez in Feb/Mar at 168, than the winner can fight Abraham or Kessler.
I actually think that even now, Pavlik would be too much for Chavez.
