Just finished the book Bloodlands and learnt a lot about Stalin, Lenin, Trotsky, Bolshevik Revolution etc.
I'm now wondering if there are any relatively modern films set in the 1917-1945 period that accurately depict the ills of communism in the Soviet states?
the only film I've seen set in war-time Soviet Union is Enemy at the gates..and i thought it was a nice movie.
It was a good movie but it was also filled with inaccuracies and myths that were disproven even at the time.
It's not what he is looking for.
