Shortest List? Who beats a Prime Roy Jones at 160-168?

In their primes, I think Hagler, Monzon, and Robinson beat him. All three win by late KO and all three are behind at the time of the stoppage!

Sigh......... Roy was a great fighter in his prime but here's a list of guys at those weights who had at least a "small chance" of beating him Robinson, Monzon, Hagler, Calzaghe, Ward, Mclellan, Eubank, Jackson, Burley, Lamotta, Turpin, Benn. All of those guys in their prime, and they are the ones off the top of my head have at least a "small chance" at beating Roy. He was a great fighter, but it only takes one punch to turn things around in boxing, Jones I feel always had a vulnerability about him although he was very hard to catch clean, but it could happen, even someone like Julian Jackson, Jones only got to make one mistake, get caught and it's goodnight. It's a shame we never got Mclellan vs Benn because I feel he had the perfect style to take Jones out. Badly. Ward? nah. McClellan...I'm skeptical but he had the best chance certainly in Roy's era. The Calzaghe pick threatens to discredit your whole list..

IMO Roy is the most unbeatable fighter in the History of Boxing. Ive watched all of his fights. In his prime, Noone had even a small chance at beating him. Seriously could anyone have beaten this guy in his prime? Why did this strike me as a trolling anti-Roy post when I first read it.

At 168 nobody. At 175 maybe Charles or Archie Moore hell even micheal Moore would have been a tough fight. I've never seen to much Spinks but from what I saw I don't think he was very good At 160 hagler would be a tough fight that could go either way monzon I've never seen hearns could give him problems their. Robinson would be tough as hell I don't think he beats ray I think he kills lamatta stops it on cuts charley burley would Prbly give him hell Forgot to mention Matthew saad Muhammad I think he'd be tough for Roy if he could close the distance also qwai Muhammad would be like a mini Frazier with even better head movement.

McClellan defeated Roy in the amateurs but anything can happen in the amateurs so.. That would have been a great fight in the pro's. I say Nigel Benn gives it his all but goes out like a boss. Julian Jackson and Marvin Hagler could beat Roy IMO. Hagler is..well, Hagler lol and Julian had power that no other Middleweight will ever have again. He didn't have Enough power to knock out the g man and he was hitting him clean a lot

Is it weird that I think Ward would have a very good chance of taking a decision against prime roy? Andre Ward has a quite a bit of time to prove that you're not weird for thinking this and it wouldn't surprise me if he did. We should get more evidence one way or the other on Sept 8. :boxing:

I'll favor RJJ against most fighters but until they are in the ring you never know. Look how he struggled with Montel Griffin the first half of the fight and that was Jones in his full prime

Gerald Mclellan, Julian Jackson, Ray Robinson i love a power puncher more than the next man, but let's be real jackson would have a punchers chance and nothing more. and the "punchers chance" loses it's luster some when your opponent has a defensive mindset and speed speed speed. roy jones and muhammad ali (then cassius clay,) are the fastest fighters i've ever seen

Joe Calzaghe I just remembered RJJ used PEDS, so without PEDS, yes JC would beat him.
