I'm just rubbing it in because of all the peeps that swore my LW hero was gonna get KTFO by Aydin. I am very surprised that dude didn't use his jab more but I guess he was trying to prove a point...he actually did though...beat Aydin at his own game after a 14 month layoff and moving up 2 divisions. That alone is pretty damn impressive..I mean Aydin was sure of a KO win..120% sure.....didn't happen though.
I agree though on your last point...a think a lot of people...95% don't realize what really happened tonight.
I thought Guerrero had a great showing and he did exactly what I expected him to do. Considering his layoff and jumping weight he looked great IMO. Not too many fighters can stay out of the ring and come back to pretty much dominate the fight which is exactly what I had him doing. I scored it 10-2 on my card but would accept, 9-3 or at worst 8-4.
but even the titles Guerrero won @ Lightweight vs Katsidis also were Interim titles right?
Right you are. I forgot Kats never actually won the title. KTFO by Marquez. Poor Kats. :(

Yeah, I get it. It was impressive. Not sure I'd advice him to stay up at 147 if I was his management though. If Aydin had had better stamina and just a little more combination punching, it could have been very bad for the Ghost. There are big fights at 140 still left. I'd go down if I were him. Maybe he will when he watches the fight back.
I think the ring rust would have been a bigger factor in not using his jab and standing inside more than he should have than trying to prove a point. He got tired very quickly and wasn't able to move well for large stretches of the fight. If he can stay more active that shouldn't happen.
wtf are you talking about?

Sorry, too many posters running off at the keyboard to keep track of...I know what we have discussed.
again why would he? why should he? you think a ped using fighter has any honor?
Like i said, its the WBC who took things away from him and should have stripped him 3 years ago, it has nothing to do with Berto
suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure
robert fights like he fought tonight he gets sparked.
:lol1:
Come on man, 14 month layoff, 2 division jump....you really think he is going to fight like he did tonight? Thurman is decent but if he fought Robert in 2 months from now, he'd get broken down. It took him 6 rounds to get rid of a guy he was supposed to blow out in 180 seconds....let's be honest about this.
It's only a ****ing BS interim title. It's not as if he moved up from lightweight and beat Sugar Ray Leonard for the lineal title now is it?
Edit: still a great fight and great win though. He's just not the 3rd guy in history to win the 135 title then jump to the 147 title.

if robert vs thurman ever happened I'll bet my account (you'll also have to bet yours)
you have my word for it if the fights ever made...................
You have my word on that one...Thurman is going to have to go back to high school to recap on those missed classes after getting his ego placed in a box and shipped to Cali for refurbishing after that schooling.
well why the hell would he?
He didnt have too, but he should have dropped the belt then, its not that hard to understand
Aydin was the mando for 3 years and should have gotten a shot by the WBC no matter if HBO was willing to approve him or not :dunce:
as one of only 3 guys in history to win belts at lightweight and welterweight....what, what??? :boxing:

I don't feel bad for Aydin at all, he got an opportunity against a former featherweight coming off a 15 month injury induced layoff.
That is an opportunity on a silver platter, I am sorry if he can't take advantage of that situation he does not deserve any sympathy~
aydin didn't lose badly at all..........it was much more competitive then the judges gave credit.
i thought guerrero looked venerable & if aydin had the volume of salido he would have gotten hurt..........plus aydin was wearing noticeable pillows compared to robert. (i guess thats what he means by boxing politics)
So.....you going to lose the sig? You know Broner is a short timer anyways...he is like the Floyd that Floyd always was glad he wasn't....
it wasn't the WBC's fault it was HBO's who didn't approve him as a worthy challenger for berto
They didn't approve him or a reason....the same reason Floyd won't fight the Ghost.
it wasn't the WBC's fault it was HBO's who didn't approve him as a worthy challenger for berto
No it was the WBC's fault. Since when do the WBC go by HBO? It was Berto who wouldnt budge from HBO so he should have been stripped or forced to fight Aydin.
:haha:
Who are you?
Haha...it's ok...I'm so high up, I'm not surprised you don't know me...I can save your account...just give me your points and we are square.
because he's a bum ass fighter
Haha...the truth hurts, bear the pain people....he is the same as the homeless guy that was picked up doing voice gigs who later tossed away a multi-million dollar deal to go to rehab.
I feel bad for aydin:(.
I don't, he talked all this smack and got beat...he got his just desserts. Just messing around but he will get some big fights now I hope, he really is a good fighter and actually impressed me tonight....I''d never say that publically of course (oops) but he should have people ready to challenge him now since a LW beat him. That will of course be the reasoning but he will shock mediocre guys like Berto and some o the HBO fabbed dudes out there..his right is pretty on point.....I can definitely see him beating guys that have ducked him.
Guerrero's team picked the right opponent for his return fight ......
- In all honesty Aydin doesn't throw enough punches so he can be outworked.
- Aydin is a little sloppy ... and any boxer with even a hint of skill can beat him.
In short, Guerrero got a good win against a very beatable opponent, who didn't throw enough punches.
So let's squash the Guerrero's ready for the ELITE class after that very winnable win. Let's maintain some sense of reason here ...... :Flush:
