Who is the 1 fighter in the world today that you think is the most underrated?
Only 1 not a whole list of them.
For me it has to be:
Chris John 47-0-2, 22KO
17-0 in world title fights
Current WBA World Featherweight Super Champion
has some impressive wins, and even has a win over Juan Manuel Marquez.
He has fought most of his career in Indonesia so he hasn't received much love from fans, but dont you think boxing critics should give him props, he shouldn't have to fight every fight in the USA just to be a top fighter.
I know and I'm just saying that I believe he's not good enough(although he can fight, I expect him to beat Salgado in a rematch) to be considered the most underrated. Just making discussion ;).
Ya we both have different opinions but its always good to debate with with actual boxing fans not the tools who resort too name calling.
Yes so how is he underrated if has yet too prove that he can be great i just dont get that.Well if you think that Salgado outworked Mendez then thats just clearly a difference in opinion Mendez for me landed the better shots throughout too take a ud it was close so no robbery.Sure he dont have an outstanding record but he went too South Africa beat Baloyi who while on the downturn was still a decent win on the road and Honroio twice just as the same way you are saying you see something outstanding in Moreno and he does look like he has the goods im saying i see something in Mendez

Every boxing fan knows Moreno is good, but I think they don't know how good he really is, he may be ATG.
And Argenis best opponent to date is Salgado, average champion that he rightfully lost to by being outworked. His speed and accuracy didn't make it up for his incredible in-ring laziness.

He may not have a monster output but his accuracy and speed make up for it and anyway you dont get this far in boxing by being lazy dont know what Garcia saw that could have made him.Everyone on here is saying Moreno when infact i have very rarely seen anyone critisize him in a while dont know how he can be underrated then because anyone thats a serious fan knows off him

He is talented, but not that good really. Probably the laziest fighter in the ring and according to his former trainer Robert Garcia, also outside the ring on the planet.

Argenis Mendez is a good fighter not many talk about

I think Anselmo Moreno is a good choice here.
OMFG....dudes are sleeping on him BIG TIME!!!....I got him in my p4p top 10....no doubt one of the most skilled least talked about fighters on the planet!!
Anselmo Moreno still in my opinion. There was no question he was the most underrated before he fought Darchinyan, now he get a bit of exposure.
Gabriel Campillo and Moruti Mthalane as well.
Also, Super Flyweight is probably the most underrated division with guys like Suriyan Sor Rungvisai,Oleydong Sithsamerchai,Rodel Mayol(if he doesn't drop down to flyweight).

lol the reason why i opened this thread was to add my two cents worth and say 'Chris John'.......but you beat me to it :)
How is moreno underrated when he has yet to beat an elite fighter yet there are many retards who rate him in the p4p list.
My vote goes to jhonny gonzalez. Great boxer/puncher who is a roll and just beat a good fighter in rojas with ease.
yeah I was going to post Moreno also, his style is not for everybody but I love it, he would be in my Top 5 P4P if I had to make one!
Brad Solomon also! his return on the Donaire vs Mathabula card went unnoticed but I think he can out-box anybody at 147 right now...other then maybe Mayweather! yeah yeah he doesn't have much Power...Blah Blah Blah but the dude is SKILLED and a Well Rounded Fighter!
