watching the khan getting ktfo the commentators wher sayin that behind the ear is a good spot to hit if you want to knock someone out cause it would **** up your equilbruim..i also remember an old interview with naseem hamed where he said that the best place to hit if you want to knock someone out is on the chin or on the temple..my question is if thats the case where the **** is not a good place to hit then? and what would you guys say?
The brain and brain injury are extremely unpredictable, people have died from minor falls and hitting there head while others have had half their head blown off and lived.
Any blow to the head can cause a KO. Some spots might be better than others but it would be different for different people. Some people are just born more susceptible to knock out blows than others.
On top of the head, the only cranium is hard as ****
On Khan though, anything above the nipples will get it done
On my way to work and just erupted into laughter on the train. Thanks for that!

carl froch's nose? wouldn't wanna bust your hand eh?!
The cheeks don't really feel much by themselves, unfortunately most punches around there will be partially hitting the nerves in your nose/upper lip or catch your jaw. Nicely defined cheekbones help to protect the jaw a bit because they stick out and absorbing blows from my personal experience. I only got straight up KO'd once kickboxing and that was by a 6'5" Afro-American southpaw with what felt like cinder blocks for hands.
Having been hit multiple times pretty much anywhere one can possibly be hit, the cheeks and forehead are really the only "safe" places to take a flush shot with minimal damage. Ears will have you seeing white, side of your neck just plain hurts and can KO you the same way you get KO'd from getting caught in the jaw. Nose and upper lip are the worst IMO as far as setting off pain sensors.
the point is not about khan..they were asking naseem what is the best place to hit if you want to knock someone out and he said chin and temple and nose lol i was tlike what the **** whats left
Anything around the ear area will mess up your equil, in additional to the chin and temple.
Lampley was doing his best to justify Khan's loss, but he actually answered his own question about getting hit around the ear and messing up your equil.
Honestly, in contact sports...there is no such thing as the "lesser of two (or three) evils" spot to get hit.
