I spoke to Asif Vali, He said they are making changes in the camp, Roach is going to be kept but they are hiring Nazim Richardson who will be with Khan throughout the entire training camps, Roach going away and traveling will work with Nazim Richardson, Vali said that Bernard Hopkins made the recommendation to Team Khan post Garcia fight and Bernard has said he has worked with both before and had no problems. Ariza will be back again to replace Ruben Tubares, A new contract is being discussed with Ariza, and Nazim Richardson has agreed in principle to train Khan with Roach still being the head trainer.
You should start getting news of this over the next few days, remember to check Asif Vali's twitter.
Thanks
The problem is not his legs though. He looked like he was in good condition going into the fight. It's his lack of defensive skills, and of course there's his chin.
True that ****
khan is just too much of himself... just get 1 full-time trainer (roach, naz, floyd sr., i don't care who the hell he picks) and retain ariza...
important thing is go back to basics and let himself knows that he is now just on a contender level and winning championships should be on his last priority... get back the hunger, put his f*n feet on the ground and he should be just fine...
Richardson and roach worked together with Hopkins in the calzaghe fight n they apparently got on with each other ok, I think khan wants ariza back since he spreads the muscle around (legs and top half) whereas the other one built khan top heavy so he could sit down on his punches. Ariza actually said on twitter that it was a mistake 4 khan 2 b lifting the amount of weights he was.
i dont see this working well for khan, the two trainers have different approaches and theres gonna be a lot of trouble in there, roach and ariza also had problems before..
Nazim is a good adviser and motivator, but im sure there would be conflict especially roach is also not laid-back type guy..
i dont know why khan would choose it this way, when he can have Cotto's trainer or try Floyd mayweather Sr :D im sure this would cost him a lot...
bottom line is, the greatest problem of khan is his mouth, his ego, his chin and his mental discipline in the ring, not roach... he never admitted that he has weak chin, he should admit that to himself, and do something about it.
So Nazim will be the main trainer, Roach will be there when he's not training Pacquiao. He should just get rid of Roach completely. Training with Nazim and then Roach stepping in and training and possibly wanting to do things differently is only going to be confusing to Khan.
I imagine they will discuss a gameplan together and lay out what needs to be trained and then roach and naz will alternate in taking the classes with naz doing most of the graft and roach setting up the gameplan and raking in the ££
IF khan listens brother nazim can save his career. he can teach khan how to fight on the inside, defense and how to fight intelligently. if khan takes the message and is a willing student he will be a force in the future.
Nazim is overrated as hell. He hasn't really done much.
Shane Mosley thinks Amir Khan would be good with Brother Naazim Richardson
Former IBF and WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan is the talk of the town at this point in time since he has decided to leave his International Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, who was working with him for the past four years.
Khan is currently on a look out and to help him out former three-division world champion Shane Mosley has come out.
Mosley has suggested Khan to consider his former trainer, Brother Naazim Richardson, as an option since the American believes Richardson knows the best way to handle a fighter of Khan’s style.
“The way Amir fights, he throws a lot of punches and Brother Naaz knows how to work with that. He would be good with Brother Naaz. That style would fit,” Mosley told Fighthype. “I think that would be a good move for him because Brother Naaz is going to spend a lot of time with him and make sure that he trains hard. And they’re both Muslims, so it’ll work. It’ll be a good fit.”
The 25-year-old Bolton man, who is more commonly known as King Khan, lost his battle against Lamont Peterson last year and he suffered a brutal fourth round TKO against Danny Garcia last July. His career is now on the brink of failure and he knows he cannot lose third time in a row fight.
Khan feels he has problems with his defence and he now wants someone who could improve his defensive style.
While the Brit, who carries a record of winning 26 of 29 professional fights, with 18 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, is still looking for a trainer, former light heavyweight champion and present-day trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad has shown interest in Khan.
While speaking on his inclusion, Mustafa insisted that it would be a dream come true for him, if he gets to train Khan.
Mustafa said, “I have a lot of respect for Freddie Roach and Emanuel Stewart but nobody wants to train Amir Khan more than I do. Working with Amir Khan would be a dream.”
Well, all said and done, let’s see if Amir Khan responds to Shane Mosley or Eddie Mustafa.

Yea that's a good point. Khan paid the price for not listening during TRAINING. Also I thought Tabares did a good job with pacing Khan. Khan wasn't wasting a bunch of energy with unnecessary movements in this fight vs Garcia.
Tabares is unknown? If he is so good and David Haye recommended him then why did Tabares not work with Haye for the Chisora fight? Lets be honest, Tabares is unproven.
Nazim Richardson will work as deputy with Roach, Nazim for defence, Roach for offense, and Ariza for Strength and conditioning, Simple as that.
Tabares shouldn't be fired, he told Khan that he shouldn't brawl in sparring but Khan replied "I don't wanna be boring". Why would you fire somebody who gave you the right advice? Feel bad for the guy.

I feel bad 4 Ruben but he really screwed Khan up by only allowing him to gain a measly 8 lbs after the weigh in. Lanky guys like Khan need every pound possible I mean ak has been getting smaller on fight night every fight since Judah when he was massive at 152. compare khans legs recovery in the middle of round 10 vs Maidana with his inability to recover between rounds early vs Garcia. Tabares plan of having Amir diet all the way down to 140 a week b4 the fight totally backfired. Khan had a bigger upper body and still weighed 4 lbs less so think how twiggy his legs must have been
