You see that big grin on ODL face? It was because he knew he had a ready made opponent for Mayweather in Dec. A young, undefeated, world champion that leaves himself wide open? Not to mention that Garcia is also managed by Al Haymon. Who cares if he hasn't fought at WW, Golden Boy doesn't care about weight classes any more (see Canelo-Lopez) Plus can you imagine all the trash talk Danny's dad will be talking to Mayweather? Book it!

If Khan was worthy so is Danny. There is NOTHING wrong with Floyd fighting a undefeated fighter coming off of a HUGE knockout win. Not to mention Floyd would be coming off a tough fight against Cotto and doing time in jail.

If Floyd fights in December it will be his mandatory which is Robert Guerrero. If he vacates, he'll fight Canelo in May 2013.

No way Floyd fights Canelo in Dec. Too big a risk coming off a jail stint plus I doubt Canelo will take that fight in Dec. anyway. Better to take a tune up and do the fight big on Cinco De Mayo next year. I would argue that Garcia has a better resume than Ortiz and a would be an easier sell than a guy like Ortiz.

Floyd wouldn't do that. It's Alvarez, assuming he doesn't f*** up against Lopez somehow. Golden Boy fighters are blowing fights left and right lately though, Alvarez better watch his ginger ass. This ^^^^^ Floyd usually takes the fight that makes the more sense moneywise. He knows a fight against Alvarez would create way more buzz than against Garcia
