Sylvester Stallone's son Sage has been found dead in his Hollywood apartment. The 36-year-old's attorney, George Braunstein, has confirmed the tragic news to the New York Post.
Sage appeared as his father's son in "Rocky V", but turned down the same role for "Rocky Balboa".
It's a shame, man. Sage was freaking young. No news on the circumstances of his death as of yet.
eat a dick mans son died.stallone brought many people to boxing show some damn respect
Exactly! When I was 8 years old, Rocky was my favorite movie. When I was 12, I saw Tyson fight for the first time and had to watch his fights after that. I credit both of them getting me into boxing. Lots of people were brought into boxing by the Rocky movies. They didn't induct him into the boxing hall of fame for nothing. He contributed more to this sport than any of us posting here.
It's in one of the front pages of yahoo and other websites. There are kids in the world, specially in Africa getting their limbs cut off and the media ignores it most of the time. Yet this idiot decides to pop a couple of pills and dies from it and it's a big deal. :nonono:
Its a big deal because we know who he was. We remember the movie he was in. We know Sly and sympathize with him for his loss. It doesn't matter how his son died, even if he killed himself, Sly is going through the worst nightmare he could ever imagine. If your son (if you have one) died, you would know how it feels. You can't judge a man you don't know. Things happen in life starting from childhood that can affect our lives in a negative way, maybe you would never take drugs, but maybe also you were raised better and able to make better decisions because of it. Maybe your parents did a much better job raising you than his did. This is exactly why only God can judge a person for their sins. You just see one part of his life (taking drugs) and judge his entire life on that alone. That is a huge mistake. What if all the good he ever did completely out did the bad 10 to 1? But you wouldn't know that, because you don't know him. Really dude, think about how ignorant you sound by making these statements.
I posted this news because Sage was the son of a man who is inextricably connected to boxing, despite not being a boxer himself. I thought most people here would care to know of the younger Stallone’s passing, and the exposure to the news would be greatest on NSB.
I know nothing about Sylvester's son except the little that's been reported about him. I've seen nothing that indicates he doesn't deserve some respect in death. I don't think anyone here can make an educated argument to the contrary.
I could never imagine that this thread would turn into a mean-spirited and misguided philosophical debate on who is worthy of a death announcement and who isn't.
Those who believe Sage's passing should go unnoticed or hidden away somewhere else should've displayed minimal class and prudence and allowed those who care to pay their respects unbothered. The thread would've faded away soon enough, without any unnecessary disrespect.
RIP Sage Stallone.
No, Silvester brought a lot to the boxing world, not his son.
It's sad to lose a loved one but this has nothing to do with boxing.
All of your post are garbage and worthless. And I do mean all. You're one of the last people who should come in here lecturing anybody on what they should post.
This is exactly how I feel. A person tied to a celebrity is more news than people getting slaughtered in genocides and stuff happening each day.
I don't understand why people feel the need to lie. The death of Sage Stallone is hardly groundbreaking news. It gains interest here because most people are interested.
While I understand where you are coming from, it's hard for me to show sympathy for drug abusers. They are reporting that the guy was doped out of his mind and that might have killed him.
People die every single day, but when a person attached to a celebrity dies it's a big deal?
Where's the threads on the thousands of other people that died yesterday?
Only thing that I have read on the matter is that he died from a drug overdose. That does not immediately translate to the individual being a drug abuser, it is possible that he tried to take his life, it is also possible that the drugs he OD on were prescription drugs.
That being said even if he overdosed on a drug like ecstasy it shouldn't get in the way of you feeling a shred of sympathy. A life was lost, people take drugs for many different reasons and unless you know the individual or circumstances in their lives it is a bit presumptuous to hop a high horse. A least you should be able to sympathise with the parents who have lost someone they loved dearly.

Where's the threads on the thousands of other people that died yesterday? You were clearly raised in a not so good way if you believe the stuff coming out of your mouth. IT doesn't matter if he died because of drugs, or was murdered, someone's life HAS ENDED, it's disrespectful to make comments such as yours, FULL STOP. No ifs ands or buts about it! What don't you get about that?
Just accept you were wrong for complaining about a very touchy matter and move on, because all you're doing at this point is digging yourself a deeper hole by trying to rationalize and excuse your completely out of line comments. If you don't see anything wrong with how you acted, well then, maybe you need to see a psychiatrist. People with attitudes such as yours are either borderline sociopaths due to being excessively spoiled by parents, or your just flat out unstable, period. I'm done with this, I can't believe I'm still arguing about a matter like this.
Very sad, R.I.P.
I love all of the Rocky movies, and I always will. I still watch all of them every few months. Sage Stallone had a big role in one of the movies in of the biggest franchises in movie history.
While I understand where you are coming from, it's hard for me to show sympathy for drug abusers. They are reporting that the guy was doped out of his mind and that might have killed him.

This is so retarded. Yeah, lets get the New York Times to make an article about Hank Harris the unknown Car mechanic in I don't know, Kansas? Who died yesterday of heart failure. Yeah lets report all of those, but not the death of a famous person that people all over the world know.
has absolutely nothing to do with boxing. Rocky V was terrible.
Was thinking the same thing. This does not belong here at all.
The two of you disgust me.
______
That being said my he rest in peace and may his family cope as best as they can with their tragic lost.
Sad news. RIP.
P.S - Ya know when you get to the point where you start worrying about where a thread is started on a internet forum, you know like you lot in this thread, yeah that point, that's officialy the point where you confirm yourself to be a no life saddo.
While I understand where you are coming from, it's hard for me to show sympathy for drug abusers. They are reporting that the guy was doped out of his mind and that might have killed him.

We can't identify with them, because we don't know them. That's why. Quite being a heartless jerk!
Not to mention, how many troll threads we see on a daily basis in this forum. Stupid and pointless threads are posted every day in NSB, and everyone eats it up and doesn't complain. Yet, when someone's died, and it's posted about, people complain? It's a joke.
No, Silvester brought a lot to the boxing world, not his son.
It's sad to lose a loved one but this has nothing to do with boxing. What? It doesn't matter. It's Sylvester's son. Someone OBVIOUSLY very close to him, so of course someone would bring it up. Does it BELONG in this section per say? No, but the point is, is that if someone did post it anyway, you shouldn't complain about it given the severity of what it is, someone died. How can you sit here and complain about a single thread amongst TONS of thread space, given someone has died. You just don't do that. THAT'S my point, and Kevin's point. It's just wrong on so many different levels. IF you don't care to post about it in the thread, fine. But, don't complain about someone posting a thread about it. I mean, what the hell is wrong with you?
Some people are so harsh. I can't imagine what Stallone and his family are going through at this time my condolences go out to family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sorry but Stallone does have an iconic boxing movie with Rocky 1 and 2. He also did the 1st contender series and is a fight fan.
My condolences to him and his family
Thank you sir!!!!!!!!!!!!!These thread is very welcomed here!!!
