Khan's pace would be too much for Brook. He tired very quickly against Jones at a pace nowhere near Khans. He's too open with a shoddy defence. His worst nightmare would be a fast fighter.
Khan stops him.
Now let's see if Khan still doesn't want to fight the 'non elite' Brook.
Khan's career is in the ****ter, Brook's career is on the rise....let's see who would like the payday a year or so from now. The moment Khan's chin is tapped at 147, his career goes from being on the rocks to being over.
Like I've said all thread, Brook by KO.
im not impressed by either. the uk only has one elite fighter, and thats carl froch.
My man Haye is a better fighter but Froch has beaten better comp and should be ranked higher no doubt.

Say what you want about Khan but at least he has fought a handful of top ten JWW (Maidana, Peterson, Garcia, & Judah). Brook hasn't even faced a top 20 JWW, let alone top 10 JWW yet. Let's at least see Brook against a legit JWW before saying say he'd beat Khan.
To asking for a ride probably, lol. Khan is good, too bad he has a too weak chin. Although he is the better fighter a weak chin can never put you as a totally favorite in a fight against some one that can at least punch some hard. Look at Garcia, he is not a big puncher.
Based on today's performance, I think a lot of fighters can potentially knock Brook out. No matter how tough Slagson Jones is, he has 8 losses.
Carson Jones is a true old school fighter though, the guy has fought 28 times from 2008-2012. He's only 25 years old with 47 fights, so there's definitely room for improvement. He can be like Glen Johnson and Orlando Salido. The more you fight top guys, the higher your chances for an upset as we saw today. And an upset=a lot fame.
:twak: That term is only used for teak tough Ghanians from Accra Ghana home of the Professor Azuhmah Nelson.
lol this is true.
Or Glen Johnson. You definitely have to be black at least.
Brook takes Khan out inside of 6 rounds for me, the boy showed plenty of heart tonight against a very good and teak tough opponent.

So now because Jones gave Brook tough fight==== automaticaly means Khan would KO Brook....that's a silly logic right here. Two totaly different styles
two totally different levels
Brook has beaten no one!
Brook has a good chin and holds on in there...
If Khan was to KO him it would be a late round TKO from overwhelming punch output....
8th round earliest.
I'll have to see the fight first but I'd venture to guess that Brook took Jones lightly. Khan isn't as good as I once thought he was. He can't handle pressure at all and he has more excuses than a politician when things don't go his way.
I will leave my assessment until I see this fight and Khan's next fight against Garcia....a fight in which I think Khan will overlook his opponent too.
It's too early to say, Khan is competing at a higher level right now. Brook is still fighting a level below championship level. If he couldn't take Jones pressure, what would he do with someone like Lamont, who may not quite be as strong as Jones but has far more tools.
Pretty interesting...Brook did not react well to being hit, and a lot of those shots were arm punches, so Jones is either extremely heavy handed, or Brook is not being pushed hard enough in sparring. Also his stamina was not at the level of a championship level fighter, this has been mentioned by others. Lots of question marks over Brook for me, he looked like he nearly busted a lung by the end of that fight, Jones was really determined and strong, but apart from that he was basic and very slow, that fight should nothave been that difficult.
I agree with you but didn't Brook break his nose? Seemed like a bit of turning point in the fight. Coupled with the pressure it certainly didn't help him. It reminded a bit of Margarito/Cotto in the way the punches Jones landed didn't look much but they were making a mess of Brook.
Based on tonight, you're probably right.
I just couldnt believe how suddenly he gassed. I was incredible, one minute he was fine, then BAM! all of a sudden he was tired. It was strange.
That's from the body punches he received. Nothing strange here imo

Rant ha more like an essay.
Just this little point though, we've seen how Khan has held up under that sort of pressure from a guy who's pressure fighting is x10 of that of Jones, Maidana. And even though the Argentine machine nearly took his head of in that 10th, fact of the matter is Khan survived.
The question is, how would Brook have held up under that sort of pressure(not talking about Maidana specifically just his style)?
Agree with your other part though that i think Brook was being overrated before this fight and now is probably gonna get underrated haha, funny way this forum works.
haha I know, was a bit of a rant really lol.
But yeh in regards to that "how will Khan hold up against this" I kinda meant someone who is as physically imposing as Jones. While Maidana is in a similar mould, style wise I don't think he's as imposing as Jones physically.
And considering Khan was getting walked down at 140, I think Jones (assuming he could get through the first 4/5 rounds with Khan) would do a similar thing to what Maidana did and what he did to Brook tonight.
I just think it's silly the way people react on here. But that's boxingscene for ya.
It should also be noted that there's a difference between a fighter who throws a lot of punches (Khan) and a fighter who's constantly walking you down and throwing a lot of punches (Jones)
Khan's an ambush type fighter who can overwhelm opponents with his volume, but you rarely see his opponents gassed out and hanging on like Brook was tonight, that was due to the constant pressure Jones was applying from rounds 1-12.
