I know its a dumb question but all my peers love to argue about this...
If salvador sanchez would have lived would he be considered the greatest mexican of all time??? Or would chavez still be?
Sanchez! he had it all. He had legendary stamina, iron chin and was overall the better fighter in my humble opinion. He could have been among the very top ATGs.
If I were to ask that question to my uncles who are big time boxing fans they would probably beat the **** out of me for even questioning it, Sanchez for sure.
Sanchez had it all, he was a ****ing beast.
Hell f*cking yeah. Chavez was a great fighter But Sanchez was an all around better fighter. Chavez's gameplan was always to pressure his opponent and use his infighting skills to get the victory whereas Sanchez could stay in the pocket, or fight you at a distance, utilized his jab more than chavez, and had better footwork. Both of them had iron chins of course. You could argue that Chavez had the greater career but Sanchez was the more skilled fighter.
Nothing against the great Chavez, but Sanchez had accomplished so much at the time of his tragic death and his stock was still on the rise. In my opinion, Sanchez would have risen above Chavez and would have beaten him h2h.
