Guess who Carnelo Alverez is fighting!!!

I can quicker guess who he isn't fighting. There are far more shot fighters, bums & lightweights bound to get a shot than legit opponents.:grumpy:

At this point team Canelo wanted to fight a good opponent and they have all fell thru. Willimams, Kirkland, Ortiz (not sure about that one). WBC is giving a hard time on Trout which is the fight that should be made at this point. A Lara fight would be good or a Vanes fight. The politics in the sport may not allow that to happen

I don't like it but what about Vanes? Vanes is a TR fighter. Doubt that they would put him in on the same date that Jr is fighting in a PPV fight. Vanes should be next but politics won't allow that fight to happen. Canelo would get Vanes late in the fight

I really hope Kirkland grows some balls and signs the contract to fight. The only one that have to grow some balls is canelo and fight a guy with a pulse.

Quintana is crafty with pressure fighters but he is way past his best. Unless fighting at 154 works for him cause when he got KOed by Berto he said it was a real struggle to make the weight. Still I heavily favor Canelo in this fight. Who you got left? Maybe a Wolak or Wright comming out of retirement

I have to disagree, I think Quintana is still a very solid fighter who can be competitive with anyone. But yeah, Quintana-Canelo is NOT a PPV.. Agreed, put this fight on CBS.

Didn't a report come out that Kirkland faked the injury. That he simply wanted more money? I was under this impression. no the injury is and has been legit Kirkland was using it as trying to leverage more money for the 9/15 fight. Doctors gave him the okay to resume training and the okay for a September fight

I heard in the gym today by a trainer that Carnelo will be facing Carlos Quintana on September 15!!! I hope not cause Quintana is a bum now!!! a bum? deep analysis right there

I'd rather see a Bundrage unification. Alvarez would atleast get more credit for unifying and because Bundrage is atleast in the Top 10. I'd rather see Quintana fight someone like Gabriel Rosado. Alvarez-Quintana is an alright fight, nothing more and nothing less. Why they don't wait for October and just fight Kirkland is beyond me.
