I don't know man. Only big fight I see is the revenue it could bring due to Canelo's Mexican following. Regarding having two "proven" fighters in the ring with Canelo and Floyd, I just don't see it. Canelo needs at least 2-3 solid fights under his belt in "his" division until he can "rightfully" challenge Floyd. If we let this kid Canelo jump straight to Floyd without earning it like everyone else, we're giving off the wrong impression and telling folks this type of behavior is ok. If he beats Cotto though, that's a really big win, probably the biggest win aside from Floyd he could get. If he fights Trout or Bundrage, and than Cotto, and wins convincingly, he's as ready as he'll ever be. The Lara fight just isn't happening ever, it's like Donaire vs. Rigondeaux, ain't never going to happen.

If he fights Cotto in December, I'm completely cool with that fight, it's a big fight. And if he wins that, he'd be in line to fight Floyd. But he should at least fight Austin Trout or Cornelius Bundrage in September, not Quintana.
