My vote goes to Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, and Ellie Seckbach :boxing: . No, but for real I'd like to see more guys like Al Bernstein, Roy Jones Jr, Antonio Tarver, Gus Johnson, and maybe Sugar Ray Leonard. We need more unbiased and intelligent broadcasters.
Lampley has that classic voice for Boxing so he needs to stay. I enjoyed Sugar Ray Leonards commentating as well. As much as I like Larry Merchant, he is just too old now and he speaks too slowly. Lampley, Kellerman are great you could add Foreman, Roy Jones, Tarver, Steward, SRL as the third on a rotational basis.
teddy atlas is the best in the business. its nice to get actual explanations as to what is happening and insight into the nuances of the sport in general. his knowledge base is second to none when it comes to boxing.
I find him extremely annoying actually.. i just can't stand all his metaphores!
kellerman should take lampleys spot. hes good at telling which shots land well and which doesnt, always the first to realize when a fighter is hurt etc. hes got good eyes even though his boxing insight leaves more to be desired. so i think he would be great calling the fight blow by blow, cant be worse than lampleys blind ass guessing which shots land or miss. get rid of that fool
speaking of fools, they have to get rid of merchant, not only is he as far away from an expert as you could get hes unproffessional and dissrespectful to the fighters. its a disgrace that hes calling fights at this level. steward and roy should be the analysts.
dont know who they should rotate with tbut thats the key lineup. if hopkins and roy can play nice he would be a great addition as well.
Roy Jones Jr has pretty good broadcasting skills...a person can be very knowledgeable about a topic but make a poor broadcaster because they don't have the voice and microphone/camera skills.
"He needs a knockout!!"
Constantly saying Hopkins was getting tired when he wasn't against Trinidad was weird as hell.
yeah imagine when Bhop started pouring it on Tito.. that mustve been awkward for him. lol
True but George also said alot of stupid sh1t.

Roy Jones Jr. Antonio Tarver and James Toney
That would be the greatest announcing crew ever. The stuff they would say would be better then the fight.
RJJ: Hey James remember when I beat you?
AT: Hey Roy remember when I beat you??
JT; Huuurble muuurble Bitschko sisters hbble Detroit hmmmmbler best in the weerrrb
That's funny haha

HBO commentators have become a bit bland, if the fight isn't a barburner or the main event Lampley and Steward go on about bull$hit while ignoring the fight going on in front of them.
I honestly feel that Gus Johnson does a great job not just calling the fights but his excitement adds to the telecast and to the viewers excitement.
Merchant still does it best because it's not his job to do the play by play but he adds great insight and subtle things that are often missed. Kellerman tries his best but he's just doing a bad imitation of Merchant imo.
I have to agree. HBO's guys just seem bored to be there almost whereas Showtime's guys seem to actually be having fun and enjoying themselves.
But for fun I'l say Roger Mayweather and Naazim Richardson. It's the perfect combo.

I used to like steve Albert. I don't know what happen to him though. Another pick of mine would be Goerge Foreman. I remember James Brown doing some fights before that would be a good cast right there.
