It's like Martinez is getting a chance at redeeming the sport, even for a night. And that's the kind of fights I love. It's not normal that a top P4P fighter has to chase a B+ fighter just to be able to make the money he's supposed to make, it's not normal that a guy with Chavez' skills (or lack thereof) is a bigger draw than a much higher rated fighter like Martinez, it's not normal that a true champion gets stripped so that a hype job can have a title. On Sept 15, Martinez will have an opportunity to right all these wrongs.
