How do people think this fight plays out??? While I doubt it ever happens, because I doubt Arum lets Rigondeaux fight Donaire at 122 or Garcia eventually at 126, just interesting to see what people think of this potential fight.
Here are Mikey's last ten fights
220-61-17 (KO's 131)
Tell me again how Rigo's 10 win tower all over Mikey's last ten opponents
Almost the same that Rigondeaux first 10, what we need is mickey in the ring with Rigondeaux so we can start counting forward, remember that Mickey was the #1 for Gamboa nd his brother said that he was not ready for the Cyclone but who is it...
PS.212 W, 52 L, 148 KO
I would love to see Mikey and Rigo fight; I think it would be a nice feather in Guillermo's cap. However, it might be a while before Rigondeaux moves up to 126. By then, Garcia might've moved up.
If this fight comes to pass, I see Mikey being considerably less aggressive than usual. I think he'd be very respectful of Rigo's reputation (unlike some of the posters here). This will mean that Guillermo will have less opportunity to implement his counter-punching style.
By the same token, I think Rigondeaux will respect Garcia's power and sound technique. I don't see "El Chacal" attempting to tear through Mikey the way he did with Casey and Kennedy. I see him being slightly too cautious, as he was with Ramos. (I give him a pass for Cordoba. Rigo has evidently taken a step up in aggression.)
The fight would probably start a bit slowly, as both men would be somewhat wary of each other, but would pick up the pace as Garcia's corner urges him to get busier. This would, in turn, give Rigo the opportunity to do what he does best. I believe Guille would win a clear decision over a game Mikey.
I'd love to pick Rigondeaux cause he looks like such a beast and is on a different skill level.
But being real, Mikey is much bigger, longer, stronger, and just as accurate. Plus he's a smart boxer that knows what to do in the ring and doesn't go retard when things get tough.
Rigo needs to fight perfect.
I think this little research will give us a better view of GR opposition, in his 10 fights as a pro Rigondeaux has face fighters with a combined record of 212W-52L with 148 KO, none of his rival had a losing record at the time they fought Rigondeaux, IMO Rigondeaux will mop the floor with young Garcia, more or less the same way Casamayor did to his brother Robert and he was more accomplished fighter than Mickey.
Because you can do it for mickey, after all you are Garcia's fan not me.
ps. HERE IS MICKEY!!!
first 10 fights (you can do the rest)
61W-125L and none had a winning record, we are talking about cab drivers and bums from Guadalajara.

So the fish that you caught is bigger now? Cordova was take it to school and ye, Rigondeaux got on a bike the las 5 rounds but he won those rounds too, Cordova could not catch up with him and he was getting tagged when GR decide to throw, we all watch that fight and it is in YT, a stinker after the 7 but he won nonetheless.
Find the fight and post it.
These guys don't see that, they're shyttn on Mikeys resume, but what they fail to realize is that Rigo has had the same quality of fighters.
I posted the numbers for you, just go back a page or two...

i know. they are getting carried away with showtime's " rigo is the GOAT amateur fighter" talk like it matters in the pros. rigo is good fighter but if theres something his fans should'nt brag about its his pro resume.
122lbs just picked up steam, stop trying to make it seem like that division has been on fire.
126lbs has been the most consistent division for over 2 years, when Rigo beats somebody at 126lb holla at me, till then a gift decision over Cordoba and a demolition of Ramos = Yawn.

ok , i'lll stop with that lucky punch but again ramos was sh1t also. maybe a lil less sh1ttier but he still sh1t.. 28 sh1t fighters is still better than 10 sh1t fighters. if mickey has no resume , rigo has'nt also, the diffence is that close

theres no such thing as a lucky punch. please just stop the nonsense. no matter how ****ty u think ramos is, everyone mikey fought is ****tier. thats all there is to it. the kid has no resume at all.

im not not talking about who beat who in the ams idiot. thats not the point. the ams adds to your experience by far. a fighter with a great am background like rigon is definitely more experienced and more pro ready than a fighter without one like garcia. u saying it doesnt matter is completely wrong. and i think amyone who knows boxing would pretty much agree with that.
you werent but you were giving rigo's amatuer experince way too much credit as to why he would beat mickey in the pros which is ridiculous. the ams add more experince , no doubt, but only in the ams that, that matters. mickey has more pro exprience where it matters. now, if you add the ams and pros together then thats the only time rigo has the advantage but why would you mix that when judging who's gonna win a pro fight? thats just stupid
matt remillard is ****. he wasnt even that good of an amateur. much better fighter?? lmao only to a garcia fan, and that asian isnt a bum. u might have thought he was, but he wasnt, he was top 5 in the division when ramos fought him. smh...seriously stop it.

who gives a sh1t about the amatuers. carlos pinto and abdulaeev beat cotto in the ams, guess what appened to them in the pros vs cotto?lol
no one said shimoda was a bum , but ramos was getting beat until he landed that lucky punch meaning he only became a champion out of a lucky and not for the reason he's good (coz he is trash) so he is nothing to brag about really.

ramos is trash. the only reason youre saying he's better is coz he became a champion out of a lucky punch. even if true he's better (on paper) he's not much better, he is still a tomato can. cordoba is ok. so like i said , rigo has the quality ( by a hair) and mikcey has the quantity (by about 18 pro fights). teon is a bum, period
Rigondeaux make him look like a bum, that's what he does and if Garcia should find himself in the ring with Rigondeaux, you will be saying the same thing after the fight, Mickey is a bum.
