Considering that Manny "I let other people make my decisions for me" Pacquiao and his fans always have a ton of excuses ready whenever he loses or struggles, and that he is about to face one of the best opponents he has fought in his whole career, I think its only right that we take a guess which hilariously ignorant cop-out they will try to use to try to justify their Golden Boy if he has a tough fight with Bradley (and most people are predicting that he will) and especially if the unthinkable happened and Bradley somehow manages to win a decision. Now i'm not stating that there will only be one excuse, i'm sure there will be a ton of them relating to various different issues just like there was after he got schooled by Marquez and Morales, but I am wondering what the main one will be.
After the Marquez robbery, the main excuse was "He was cheating by stepping on Manny's foot" even though that is something that always happens with a southpaw and an orthodox fighter, it just goes to show you how little these people know about boxing. Personally I think they will play the "Bradley was using his head as a third fist" card even though when you get two explosive fighters who jump in a lot like these two, headbutts are bound to happen. The more creative ones will probably try to use the "Manny wasn't focused" myth even though that would be nobodies fault but his own. So it wouldn't make sense.
What do you guys think they will come up with to justify him struggling with and/or losing to another fighter who is not even close to Mayweather's level?
Poll coming!

Yup. That seems to be the general accepted excuse for a bad night from Manny these days. It's as if Roach and co. can't fathom the possibility that his opponents have something to do with Manny not being able to score a Hattonesque knockout each night.
I'm sure there would be a lot of excuses thrown around. I think its going to be a tough fight for both, but what will you say if Bradley get busted up and knocked out cold.
I agree, but what do you think the most common one is going to be?
I'll give Pacquiao some credit if he dominates Bradley and wins easily because this is the first guy he has fought in a while who unlike most of his recent opponents isn't old and coming off a terrible performance and/or beating. Bradley is the first guy he's fought who's on a winning streak in a long time. Most people are expecting this to be a competitive fight so of course if Manny goes in there and completely destroys him then he deserves credit. I won't make excuses for Bradley, but we can't just ignore the fact that this is a guy who struggled to beat Junior Witter and Kendall Holt so it's not like he is on Mayweather's level. I look at Bradley as being on the same or a very similar kind of level as Victor Ortiz.
Either come at me with an intelligent point or don't bother posting in my threads.
I can't believe I forgot that one. :lol1:

I think it will be the headbutting that they will be using as the main excuse because there's no doubt that there will be some with two guys that jump in and out and lunge in so much when they punch. Manny might get cut and if he does then he and his fans will probably claim that the headbutt ruined his fight plan (even though headbutts generally hurt both fighters) and that it would have been different had he not gotten cut. I also think that if Bradley puts on a good show then Bob Arum will start saying things like "Bradley is better than Mayweather" in a desperate attempt to make Bradley more well known and the gullible Pacquiao fans will eat it up and run with it and truly believe it just because Manny's promoter said it. Whatever Bob Arum says, they take it as fact.
