Dude, who said anything about PAC being shot ?
I think PAC is past it, and at that level, where every lil thing counts, I think by PAC showing signs of slipping in terms of overall speed, and facing a guy who isn't bad on his feet and hands either just gives the underdog that much of a chance.
But, I think some of you are just flatout bias if y'all think that the current PAC is the same guy back in '08 when he beat De La Joto and in '09 when he flattened Hatton, hell today's PAC isn't even the same fighter that beat the crap out of Cotto.
Just look at the training vids below and tell me if today's Dumbquiao is the same ones from a few years ago.
If you could read I said he isnt the fighter he was in 2005...he is better at everything, he just isnt as active with his punch output...he isnt at his physical athletic prime but he is an overall better fighter than back then.....if he loses Bradley was just the better fighter that day
i always find it funny that pacquiao was only at his best for 4 fights diaz, delahoya, hatton, cotto after that he supposedly has lost the killer instinct and a bunch of other dumb excuses and before the diaz fight he was not technically at his best and was only a 1 handed fighter pre marquez 2.
it will all depend on how pac looks on fight night...if he looks like he lost some speed and movement and is unusually timid/hesitant (no killer instinct) then it could be safe to say he's slipping.
He's not in his peak anymore but he's still one of the best fighters in the world. That's exactly my views as well. The fact that he's not at his peak and you've got a talented, young hungry champion, it makes PAC more vulnerable to getting beat by someone of Bradley's level.
He is past prime but he isnt shot....of course he isnt the fighter he was in 2005, he isnt as active with his punches as he used to be...but he remains just as fast, power hasnt dimished and more accurate defense is still the same...just means Bradley was the better fighter that dayDude, who said anything about PAC being shot ?

If Bradley wins he is simply better imo!!
I dont buy into the cramp thing at all, Pac simply isnt v good at chasing opponents who box on the backfoot and thats why he looked average vs JMM and Mosley. (He looked average but still won Had Cotto boxed smartly instead of trying to overpower Pac, I think the match would be a lot more competitive, maybe cotto even winning it.
Exactly man. These Pac fans want it both ways. They scream he the P4P king but if he's loses to Bradley its because he's old.
actually, the poll was started by a non-pacquiao fan (more of an anti-pacquiao, actually) so you're assumptions are pretty off.
besides, i see more pac haters claiming that bradley is too green and hits a like baby so pacquiao gets no credit at all for beating him. they seem to be hedging against the possibilty that he looks good against floyd. this is despite the fact that bradley is a legit p4p fighter, undefeated, prime and was the one who called out pacquiao at 147 (before people accuse pac of challenging him and forcing him to go up in weight).
If you are the P4P #1 or #2 in the world, you don't have off days just because you are slightly over prime. Otherwise why would you be ranked where you are in the first place? So do we need provisional caveats?
P4P #1 *Manny Pacquiao- "This guy could be slightly over prime so P4P ranking may not reflect actual skill level.

As a general rule 25 to 30 is prime and over 30 is the start of being past prime. Bradley is 28 and prime and Pac is 33 and past prime. If it is a close fight and Bradley wins I think it's reasonable to assume his 5 year age advantage made a difference and a 5 year younger Pacquiao might have won. If Bradley wins by a large amount then he is just better.
Wanna bet your life if Marquez can beat bum Margarito at 150 or Cotto, Mosley and Clottey at 147? Style makes fight and look how Marquez performed against bum opponents.
At 145 my money is on JMM vs Cotto , Margo wouldnt fight him at 150 he knows it killed him last time and he wouldnt even go their for Cotto .
At 147 Mosley and paid to lose Clottey would be no problems under the same situations .
Yeah JMM looked pretty good against Pac didnt he lol .
love how ppl said manny is washed up from jmm fight. pac just been fighting bums jmm is a great fighter.

State yer excuses, err reasons and vote on the poll !
It's only legit if his performance shows that he's 0on the downslide. If he fights his usual fight, and Bradly can overcome it, then he's still prime but Bradley would be better head-ro-head.
We dont know what Tim is , this is his coming out party , now if he looks average then the class was more than likely to hot for him , he has not fought anywhere near this class and so far the likes of Witter and Holt are not near this , and Tim has shown that he doesnt punch hard and is a bit wild with his punches , so its a look and see .

Is it a legit excuse to say PAC is past prime if Timmy beats him next week ? | BoxingScene Community
