Paul Williams:Charges are pending

All my prayers to PW, but I don't understand a high profile professional athlete going to his brother wedding on a motorcycle... Same thing happened to Frank Mir and he has never being the same.

WTF can they charge him with? Speeding? No cops saw him. Drunk Driving? If he was drunk that would be out already. Property Damage? Didn't hit shizzle but the ground. Illegally modified motorcycle? Possibly....but that would be a monetary fine (cheaper than a lawyer I'm sure).

Since there were no there other victims and with the injury Williams suffered the courts should not to press any charges. I mean come on Williams has been through enough!

PW is already paying a life sentence for his accident. That will get thrown out

Not gonna lie I have a bias towards motorcycle riders. They drive like complete ****. They speed, they weave in and out of lanes, cut people off etc. Not saying he was doing that but my bias makes me believe he was. You don't even know what your talking about. Get a bike and learn to ride and then come on here and talk ****. You sound like a 90 year old woman with that statement. Whats the matter you get a heart attack when I bike goes past you and you hear the exhaust. People kill me with its the bikers fault when I've had friends die because some dumb idiot in a car thinks its ok to slam oh his breaks and cross over 3 lanes to make a turn.

petty as hell. they should exercise some discretion and common sense and leave the man be. if he did anything illegal, he's paid for it with his mobility. nobody else was hurt. if anything, it sounds to me like he maneuvered his bike in such a way that would stop others from being hurt.

He'll get 6 points on his license and pay a fine. As for the charge of an unsafe vehicle I'm sure his lawyer would get that thrown out on the grounds that it would cost the city more to prove it then it would in any fines. Paul won't even have to go to court. I think what stinks is that if it was the cager's fault this will hinder Paul from seeking restituition until its settled.

How the hell would the cops know it was a highly modified motorcycle. Not for nothing but theres a big difference between having an after market exhaust pipe and having a motor rebuilt with a big bore piston kit, stroked crank, head and cam package etc. The only way to know is to take the motor apart and know what is it that your looking for. Since there hasn't been any official charges I'm sure the cops haven't gotten a warrent to pull the motor apart and so any charges in regards to the motorcycle not being street legal will be handled easily by any decent lawyer. I've been pulled over by cops and they barely know where to find the freaking vin numbers on a bike. I'd be surprised if they even could identify what kind of bike it was if they didn't look at the registration. Atlanta cops aren't known for their love of Sport Bike riders so I'm sure they are going to try to put the blame on Paul. I've always preached when you are in a car you have to be focused 100% but when you are riding you have to be focused 200%. That way you can anticipate when some cager is going to try and park their peice of **** car on top of you. Get Well P-WILL my prayers go out to you in these hard and trying times!!!

In related news, The Marietta Police Department issued a statement saying that Williams was driving a modified sport motorcycle at a high rate of speed and was “travelling too fast for conditions….Charges are pending at this time, however this case remains under investigation.” He has faced and is dealing with the ultimate price short of losing his life. Let this guy rehab and have a simi normal life.... why even bother with charges. He didn't hurt anyone else..what do you guys think? how can u charge someone who is disabled cus of this its madness

I'm sure they won't charge him in this case...since he is paying dearly for it. When you drive a vehicle recklessly you endanger other people though...so they will look into what happened. Had he walked away from it with only a few scratches they probably would charge him.
