Tommy Morrison only has 3 months left to live?

So how could his family have been telling that guy that "he only had days to live"? I find it sickening how somebody could make something like this up, just to get attention. I think he should be banned imo.

Morrison was fun to watch, Seth Mitchell remindes me a little of a green Tommy Morrison. Morrison stopped taking his HIV drugs from what I know. That is what keeps him alive you can see the difference between when he took the drugs and when he stopped. Here are 2 videos one from 2010 and another from 2011. I remember watching that Fight Night Champion video when the game first came out & all people were talking about were the marks on his arms & hands. Definitely didn't look normal. Very sad, especially with the advances they've made with treatment today. Look at Magic Johnson. I thought he would've succomed to this disease years ago.

Morrison was a very exciting fighter til his illness ended his career. Sad to hear he is not doing good.

Pulled this from another boxing forum. Not sure how true it is.... Hey guys I am the guy who edited Tommy's wikipedia page. I did it because I was a very big fan of the duke, and also because i have been in contact with people from Tommy's official facebook fan page. I also talked just tonight with a man who is close personal friends with Tommy. Here's what he told me: In December of 2011, Tommy was given 3 months to live. According to his ex-wife, Tom hadn't taken his medications for years upon years and has really deteriorated in the last year. He had to have the implants removed from his chest because he got a very serious infection that he almost died from. As of the beginning of this month, Tommy is currently unable to speak and currently down to 130 pounds. He was in critical condition in a hospital for almost 2 months. His ex-wife is expecting the call at any time because Tom is apparantly in a sleeping like state most of the day and they are thinking that he pretty much is going to die any day now. I 100% swear that I am not making this up. I have nothing to gain from this post or editing the wikipedia article. I just felt that the article should be up to date... just talked to them a few minutes ago. Tommy is expected to pass away at any time now. He is in the hospital right now, in a coma practically. He is completley unable to speak, and his ribs are exposed because of his infection that his body can't fight off. This all came about because at some point over the past few years, Tommy stopped taking his HIV medication. Around 2006 Tommy started testing negative for HIV due to the medicine surpressing the infection. In the back of his mind Tom started to believe that he never had it. He eventually believed it and stopped taking the medication. When he first came back in 2007, his lawyer was going to be able to get him fights on the basis that it was "HIV discrimination", and since he had the negative test results, they could prove that Tom could not pass the virus in the ring. But Tommy started telling people that he never had the virus, which is why Randy Lang split from his camp because of misrepresentation. If you notice, Tommy's comeback came to a halt at this same time. Who knows what would have happened if he would have stayed with Lang. Please pray for Tommy and his family. I hope they are with him right now. He does not deserve to die in the hospital alone.. If i didn't want to invade the privacy of the people who are giving me the information, i would do a screen cap of my facebook conversations with them. I have noticed that some of the other boxing boards are picking up on this story. I did not break the news to anyone, I edited the wikepedia article after I talked to Tommy's facebook fan page. what i can do is post a link to Tommy's official fan page, and everyone here on the board can read the posts and see the person that originally broke the story, at which point i found out from them, and i edited ****pedia. The fan page is maintained by Tommy and his wife, Trish. I have met Tommy only once, back in 2008, but talked to him through email a few times. The gentlemen supplying me (and anyone else who asks) has known Tommy as a close friend for years. He would never make this up just to get attention. The people over there care about Tommy as a human being and want his story to be told for the purpose of trying to shut down this HIV denialism that has been going on. I used to believe that Tom never had HIV, that it was a false positive, but when they set me straight tonight, I felt sick when I heard of how deluded the duke had become when he really began to believe that he was never sick, that it was all a conspiracy against him. I almost cried when i was told that in December, when his death diagnosis was given, he was still telling people he had a fight coming up and was coming back. It shocked me to my core that Tom believed so whole-heartedly that he wasn't sick and was going to fight again. It makes it even more impressive (and horrifying), that he was still able to knock out two pro boxers while in the midst of having full-blown HIV/Aids.
