How much bigger is Bute than Kessler? In terms of money involved with a fight.
Would Bute vs. Hopkins be a much bigger fight in montreal than Kessler vs. Hopkins in Copenhagen?
It might not be a bad idea actually if Hopkins wants one last payday and chance at glory.
Hopkins would play with Kessler i think.

I think Bute and Kessler are pretty even in terms of money.

Has he fought a live body since he was cleared by Dr. Shaw Hi? He should get his career back on track before seeking the big fights. I reckon he is at least a year away from a money fight.
Anyway I see little connection between the two. It would be wiser for Dirrell to redeem himself by seeking either a rematch with Abraham or fight Ward which he faked out of in the first place.
From Kessler's perspective Andre Dirrell would give about as much money as Brian Magee and with more risk, so I think there's very little chance of that fight happening any time soon.
Great points. I'm just excited to see him back and really don't care what weight class or who he fights just want to see him get back on it. I would prefer the big names but like I said I'm content that he's back!
Well I didn't mean it as Kessler himself considering tune ups. I was suggesting that fans will consider any fight a tune up if its not vs Bute, Froch, Dirrel or Ward. The big players at SMW. I think he should fight someone other than them right away.
However, I think Kessler should fight Dirrel. Right now Dirrel has been out of the game like Kessler so I think it would be a pretty good match up. The road to redemption type fight.

Do you feel Dawson is unorthodox or unpredictable?
Not unorthodox but he's not textbook, he got a slick style and has pretty good ring IQ. Kessler is straight up and down.
Sure why not? But i think it's time for Hopkins to retire but if he keeps fighting Kessler is as good an opponent he can get.
Kessler vs. Cloud/Pascal winner would also be good. Maybe it's time for Cleverly to step up in competition too.
Hop is a great opponent for Kessler. He's a great challenge for him and he would get a lot of exposure if he did win. It would be a great introduction to the LHW's.
As old as Bhop is, he can still handle a textbook fighter like Kessler.
Which is why it would be a great test for Kessler.

I cannot see Kessler looking for tuneups any more. Its not like his body is made of iron.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kessler get 1 or 2 more tune ups and then fight the loser of Bute vs Foch (Bute) and then the winner (Froch)!

IT's funny how people spout off things like "Green is shot!!" when he never was any good to begin with. He's not shot, he's just mediocre. Always has been always will be.
The knockout is sweet nonetheless.
