I dont believe nothing Arum says when it comes to PPV buys. Even when directly asked the VP of HBO sprts Mark Taffet strayed away from the question about JMM Vs MP total buys. on ************* ************* dot com/headlines/talkin-ppv-numbers-with-hbo-senior-vp-mark-taffet/
If he cant confirm them then how the hell did they come up with 1.4 mil. This makes me doubt that Pac is really doing these numbers. The only numbers that have been verified was with Oscar at 1.25 and you mean to tell me that he did 1.4 with Marquez III and his previous fight with JMM did a quater mil? Im really glad that HBO verified the 1.5 mil + for the Cotto fight. The Pac Bradley fight does 800k max but it will be inflated to 1.3 mil or some bull like that. Oh yea Im still waiting on those Mosley Pac numbers Bob
floyd will never fight pac now after his fight with cotto. he's more afraid now wondering how the hell can can pac beat up cotto and put him on his bike while he had cotto all over him for 12 rounds. his vagina just grew bigger.
He told you how lol its called CATCH WEIGHT and Manny wanted NONE of Cotto without it , you kids cant have your head that far up your ass can you !
Cotto has contradicted himself on this. He initially stated right after the fight that he felt great and the weight had nothing to do with the loss. Instead it was Pac's speed that troubled him. Cotto went on to say "I didnt know where the punches were coming from". Then prior to his bout with Floyd, he came out and said that he wont sacrifice his body the way he did for his fight with Pacquiao.
How did he contradict himself if he says he would never sacrifice his body in such a way again? Isnt he the one that went through tough training camp to get himself down? Am sure after 2 years he must have thought "looking back" why did i put myself through that ***** to put himself in a disadvantage and get beat up like that, The fact that he moved up from 145 or 147 to 154 totally makes sense that 147 was making him weak and thats even minus him having to be restricted in a 145 fight.
Arum definitely has more imaginary numbers for Pac than GBP would have for Mayweather, The Mosley fight would never even come close to 1.3M, I wouldnt be surprise if it was under the 1M PPV mark, the JMM III fight i can believe because the history between him and Pac can make them generate that sort of sales, On the other hand i also doubt Mayweather/Ortiz because the numbers doesnt seem to be confirmed and GBP/Mayweather promotions werent in a rush to release the numbers like they have just done for the Cotto fight.
If top rank does not give consent to release then we hhave to use reports from him and channels like espn who say it is those numbers
Manny did get like 20m plus ppv fr mosley and 22.5m plus ppv for marquez
not much as floyd as pac isnt smart enough to do it on his own but he still gets big pay checks
he prob makes more in the year as remember pac has loads of endorsements which floyd does not have

Dont matter, when ur starving urself to lose 2 lbs, it makes u tired, and u have a glass jaw...Cotto used to train with that trash bag suit, u cant tell me that aint the reason he lost...and its not lke he will make excuses after the fight and sound like a cry baby...we all know why he lost...but at 54', the guy is as tough as Marvin Hagler....I still think pac could hurt him cuz pac is a puncher, but Cotto would hurt him worse...a drained cotto was able to bust his eardrum, and have him messed up pretty bad, and just like Manny Steward said, Cotto was better cuz he was more comfortable
I will be shocked if this fight does over 1 million. Bradley has a fan base that can fit into Manny's Hollywood apartment. Pacquiao is coming off a few sub-par performances and his stock has dropped. The undercard is very weak and tbh any of the other guys could have fought Manny and the PPV numbers would have been the same.
Manny steward even said, it was the catchweight..LOL

Anything around or over a mil against Bradely would be a huge success given that Bradley is a not a household name. His biggest fight was against Alexander and it was a total flop.
On a sidenote. Anyone find it fishy at how HBO officially released the Floyd/Cotto ppv #'s but not the suppose 1.25mil buys that Shaefer claims Floyd did against Ortiz?
I can give this fight the benefit of the doubt for this reason even with the shady circumstances.
What is hard to believe is the Mosley fight. Mosley who basically has no fanbase and just came off a schooling from Floyd is going to get him 1.34Mil? If they really did 1.34Mil, HBO should have officially released. That would have been the highest numbers at the time ever since May-DLH and manny's record. Many people were saying Mosley was **** and gassed out after only 2 rounds after Mayweather beat him. That doesn't sound like an appealing opponent for someone ranked as high as manny.
In addition to what everyone else noted, CBS heavily promoted the fight especially during the NCAA tournament and Fight Camp 360 appearing on Saturdays in CBS.

That's because the mosley fight was on showtime. Not hbo. Showtime having been out of the ppv game for over a decade did not have as comprehensive count system as hbo.
Showtime however released a statement that they believed those numbers could have been higher but was as accurate of a count as they could get.

you mean showtime
marquez pacquiao 3 is fishy. If they really did 1.45Mil, HBO should have officially released. That would have been the highest numbers at the time ever since May-DLH and manny's record.
1.34Mil with Mosley is also another an unconfirmed joke.
I have been saying the same thing about both the Mosley and Marquez fights ever since the fights took place. I am glad to see that there are others out there who can see it too. Too bad the boxing media simply takes Arum's word for everything without ever trying to confirm the true numbers.
I have also been saying for well over a year that Pac was not paid $20 million to fiht Mosley and Marquez and will damn sure not get $25 million for fighting Bradley as Arum "leaks" to media sources and his gullible fans on this site believe.
